There really is not much info about Alaska canabis cache out there. A couple sites say he has been growing since forever. You would think that if he has, there would be several reviews available. It does seem a tad fishy. I would love some buds that smell link Skunk ass as much as the next guy but… Maybe someone knows more about this guy than I can get from Google?

There literally 10 Google results with heime cheeba in them. One of them is this thread. I’ve been looking more this morning, hoping. It just doesn’t look like someone that has been growing for 40 years to me. Having heard many stories about the true Skunk, I got really excited when rks was brought up. I’m not so excited now.

Ive seen a few people mention ACC and James over the last few years. Every singke one has said hes as straight shooting as it gets and has legit strains.
Just cuz hes not in the cookie fam Hype train pink whitney lover hipster mainstream doesnt mean hes not reliable.

AFAIK James ran ACC for years and was very low key and now his son is running it. From what i understand, theyve had this rks for years and it just flew under the radar. His son realized people crave rks and jacked the price to cash in.
Now in saying all of that, I still dont believe rks ever existed.
Sure there are many ‘skunky’ strains.
Basically back in the day any ‘unordinarily’ stinky weed smelled like a skunk to everyone because there werent all these other fancy flavours.
Think about it, smoke pretty much any kind of dank weed around a non toker and they say “holy fuck thats skunky”.
For real, I believe this is why nobody can find that ‘true rks’
Until someone does, my theory is the most logical explanation ive ever seen.
So, IMO you will all be disappointed. But its worth a shot for $20-25/each

This has nothing to do with cookie hype, I assure you.
I did a seed trade 3 years ago with the guy, and he made zero mention of having anything to do with skunk then. I got a “Michoacan” line from him with giant broadleaf looking beans but that’s neither here nor there. But he’s been growing the RKS 30+ years? And wants $500/pack? Sketch.
The scammed never think they’re being ripped off. It’s your money, though, spend it how you want. Everyone wants to be the only person with “legit RKS” so they’ll ignore red flag after red flag. It never existed, this man is a scammer. I have no dog in this fight at all other than I hate watching people waste money, and I hate watching people give scammers money even more.
$20 ain’t shit but I’d rather burn the bill than give it to a charlatan.

I have no dog in this hunt as I’m not going after RKS but I do think it’s intriguing.
I do agree though - typically any non-grower I know essentially smells weed as skunky. Anytime I ask my wife about a unique smell I get off my plants - the response is always “skunk” :).
I think some afghans can get that burnt rubber skunk note that fresh road kill gets. But I agree with @Craigson15 - in general people associate weed with skunk. The danker the skunkier.
I sure hope there is RKS out there - I couldn’t grow it though.
Will be flowering some exodus cheese shortly… we’ll see how much it stinks!

I look at it this way… nobody is going to spend that kind of change without doing at least a quick google search. $500 isn’t worth the amount of resulting bad press they’ll get. Permanent black marks, a whole community of growers calling you out… it’s a business ending proposition, when you could instead just lay low and just sell $60 packs. Ask for that kind of change, you gotta be able to back it up. Maybe they can?

That sounds perfectly reasonable at face value, but consider the following:
- There are already dozens of people on here clamoring to kick in $25 even after people have raised doubts to their claims
- Blueskiesvienna/sativabreather has been publicly called out multiple times, one guy went public on IG about losing $6K on bunk plants, and the guy still has thousands of followers buying his stuff. He just blocks and moves on. He continues to make money.
- Matt Riot does the EXACT same thing. Remember those $500 “RKS” skunk spray seeds he was peddling? Not a peep from anyone who bought any. And Riot still sells tons of seeds. He blocks anyone who questions him. He continues to make money.
- For many, it is worth it to make thousands of dollars and lose the respect of the community. You can just re-start with a new persona. This community is rife with scammers and self-promoters.
- People want SO BADLY to be the “golden ticket winner” for RKS, but they’re looking for something that never existed in the first place. It’s always “from when I was way younger” and usually is among their first experience with good weed.

I’d expect the exact opposite. By charging an exorbitant amount, you weed out the majority of people. Like vernal said, lots of known scam artists out there still making money.
Back in 2010 or so there was this dude Ripz running the potpimp site. 100% everyone knew he was ripping people off but he gave away so many free seeds it didn’t even matter. There were literally dozens of people who sent him hundreds of dollars and got nothing in return. Ton more people sent him genetics that they had spent immense amounts of time on, with the agreement that he wouldn’t compete, and he’d F2 em and send em out anyway.
Bad press don’t mean jack in this industry.

Logic from THCfarmer is still selling beans. Even after dozens of breeders and hundreds of buyers publicly claim he ripped them off. He still runs the forum and sells a shit load of seeds. He deletes any negative experiences, of course. He rips off both breeders and buyers, and is still at it.

Doesn’t look anything like the old roadkill sk. In my opinion. I held it for a few years back in the 80’s. Ones we had were pure indica.super fat fan leaves. Golf balls pale green extremely frosty stinky fat sticky icky kine bud. Nothing like it on scene today nothing!

I don’t doubt there is/was some rks out there at some point. I’ve heard too many talking about smoking a bowl that smells like a skunks ass. Even on this site people have talked about having had the cut in the past.

I’ve been saying this for years and every time I mentioned it on other forums I got called an idiot.
Why is it so hard for so many people to believe that their sense of smell and taste have evolved with new experiences in life. Not to mention I’m sure it was so much better than everything else considering 99% of the weed back then was imported commercial. So yeah while being shipped halfway a round the world I bet it lost a lot of smell and a good amount of potency. Not to mention most of what was available was pure sativa and here’s this new stuff that’s a hybrid with a more stony high.
