Smoked a sampler bud of the DPDP this morning after bucking them off the stems into a bin to burp down last night. A respectable yield for an old sativa, I would have liked to see more out of two 10G pots but I think I left a lot on the table when it comes to trellising and pruning strategically. It smokes like it smells, lemon and anise, powerful in the chest and eyes, I’d call it energetically stupefying

Here’s the flowering tent, gotta cut Ortega Mix soon and I moved in two more girls, a Big Don clone in the plastic pot and the other unknown in the 2G fabric, it’s either TGTB Sowah G F2 or FDM Janis. The other mystery one is in mid flower so I should be able to tell soon.

@MonsterDrank Big Don is a crazy ass plant man! IDK if I just popped a magic pheno in the first couple beans but this is a wild lady to grow and I’m excited to see the clone take off, I got another clone mom of BD to retire into there soon after I take a dozen snips to try a little 2L bottle SOG experiment in my 2x4. I want to see how much I can get Big Don to produce at a square foot per plant with just a few colas each. About 200w of LEDs so 25w/sqft with a Viparspectra XS1500 Pro in the middle at 150w and then 12-15w LED floods in the four corners, and probably some Solacure UV tubes squeezed somewhere in there for a few hours a day.

I mean I love seeing my stuff grown…but jesus that Ortega mix is craaazy. Hats off to Baudelaire and you for growing it.
Malana is just a beautiful plant too. Something elegant about it.

Yeah man it’s really something! I think I’m foxtailing out plants with the 500w at 100% all the time and the heavy fertigation but so far so good really, still getting nice bud formation just a little easier to trim and break up which is cool. A bunch of the plants I’ve grown from Baudelaire really respond aggressively to the breaking over that I often have to do, his plants get pretty tall on the average! But when I snap the tops down they just turn into baseball bats besides all the new fat tops.

Chopped the Ortega mix this morning before lights on (truly no feeling like stumbling out of bed and running to the basement in my underwear to grab the folding saw and chop the trunk on a plant then drag it out of the tent then go back to sleep). She was wanting to go longer and I would have given her another few days to a week but some pollen filled bananas showed up on the lowers, and that tent is upstream from the Vortex tent in the air circulation, so I couldn’t take the chance. She definitely got long enough to be right, I just have been trying taking plants longer and longer, especially sativas:

Garden updates:
-Vortex Coop tent is chugging along, just finished Day F17. When I get back to home next week I’ll probably spend Tuesday-Friday harvesting pollen from the dude (first attempt didn’t work, I missed the pollen and just got husks) and then give him the chop to let the seedbearing plants have more room. I have clones of all the Vortex F1s so he can be a stud in the future, pollen collection or not.
Flowering 4x4 tent got reloaded with three more plants, two Big Don mommas repotted into 5G ProCal pots, and the second mystery girl in a 2G fabric pot, the first is in flower already with the two Frogspawn and the Zip Tape.

On the trail to my bike campout and wheeeeee the weather sure spun quickly here from “probably some rain on Friday and likely none Saturday” to “lots of rain Friday and 1.5” on Saturday”! Good thing I stopped when I did on the side of this gravel trail and got my umbrella and poncho up so this park bench is dry around me. I love weather like this especially when I’m in the woods and on my own schedule- so I can post it like this and smoke weed! Durban Poison and Big Don bowls are making the wait for a break in the storms a lot more fun.
I don’t go anywhere in the outdoors if there’s a chance of rain without these two things, after a lifetime of trying different setups this is the best, lightest way to spend a day outside in constant rain and have a decent time of it, the combo is just 600 grams. I have the silver reflective fabric so it doubles as a summer sun umbrella, way more effective than a normal one since it reflects the infrared besides being very lightproof. Add some tall waterproof socks if you wanna stay completely dry, this has been an ex-bicycle courier current bicycle tourist PSA

Vortex coop continues, everything good, it’s a fucking mess in there:
Still getting the hang of keeping the tent filled for a perpetual flower thing but it’s getting there, one Copa Zip Tape about to come down, and two of @vernal ’s Frogspawn in another week or less.
