@ColeLennon Been there.
I find as long as I have at least a couple keepers in my tent or enough smoke of my keeper’s/combination of the two to keep my smoking in dank when I want to try new seeds/pheno hunt, that way your not so disappointed if you don’t find something you like

Lol no hype here. He used to post pictures of his expensive race cars and parts. I haven’t seen him do that in awhile so someone probably told him to smarten up and not flaunt all the $$ he was making off his polychucks. At least he posts pictures of the crosses he does….that’s more than most do.

I hate limited runs too. Artificial scarcity and trying to constantly make a hype wave. I’m a huge dynasty fan because you can buy the same core strains over and over and they are worked and good.

Edit
You know what…I have never grown any of his gear…it might be really great. But the type of marketing is such a turn off. (To me) it just feels like a scam the more I look at it.

You know @Magrowers I have a bunch(5or6) partial packs of exotic genetics. I drop two or three and leave the rest in the vault. Very expensive habit. Man I really like their gear but when they jumped to 150$ a pack I bailed on that train. Growing Tony greens work now. Really nice stuff and reasonable for sure. I bought a 12 pack and like 25 beans were in there. Also, I have had two plants of exotics herm. One was a freebie though and I always watch them close.

Hey if you find something you like then It’s totally worth it. I think it’s the way it’s sold that prob turns me off.

I have popped plenty of packs over the years where I didn’t find anything noteworthy.

Eh, with all this talk of $1000 dollar packs and shit coins, you dont think that they could be playing to a market? If everyone has free money why not charge $$$$$$$ for seeds? Am I off base here? $1000$ a pack is ridiculous…does that come with insurance or am I up shit Creek if it all goes to hell? IMO anything rare and untested is pure bs… I want 1000 packs at $50 each, my homeowner’s insurance covers that :grin::woozy_face::roll_eyes:.

Further, If your breeder is doing this he has your best interest in mind. An extra month is a big commitment that shows they care about all the details that will make your grow a memorable one!

there are over 1,000 different breeders + many nmore.can’t see how breeders cab ask for large dollar amounts for their seeds _we should contact breeders and ask them why they priced themselves out of the seed purchase market -.BY-god going to ask compund genetics about theur price-ing. If we all do this to breedes that are asking too much for their gear, they might lower the prices ?? anywah just want to inform them (breeders) that they have priced themselves out of the seed market (any ideas ?) can see $100. apack or less/ know that hard to get strains/genetics are/can be pricy - be nice to heard from one of those high priced breeders !!! Bet tehy don’t answer - might even tell them about this post via thay can answer. anyone personaly know a "high"priced breeder ? ask them what’s up —

The only two breeders I talk to is Vernal and Duke Diamond and I feel like both of them aren’t overpriced. Especially Vernal. Literally $20 + $10 shipping gets you like 30+ seeds.

At this point I’m convinced a lot of these super high priced seed sellers are just laundering money. There’s no way they are selling thousand of packs for $500 plus. Is there a market of buyers that will pay that much, sure, is it a big market, not at all. There’s plenty of good sellers like top dawg and lucky dog with a proven and traceable track record selling for at least half those super high priced hype seller packs. There’s also plenty more with great reputations that are selling for even less.

10-20 years ago maybe the market for those outrageous priced seeds was decent but in todays world with many places completely legal and even more medical, the internet, podcasts and innumerable trade shows, I highly doubt there are that many people with that much money and that little knowledge.

Those cheap seeds are better suited for growing.
More expensive seeds are usually better for breeding.
As this conversation suggests, it’s surprising how many don’t know the difference and pay much more for seeds than they are worth.
Availability will also play a part. Rare breeder seeds are more expensive than seeds you can pick up any where and any time.
Don’t fool yourself about the difference in quality of plants that those expensive seeds make. Higher terps, higher potency, rare flavors, discerning highs are all factors that dictate the costs. If flavors or potency, or length of time the high lasts doesn’t matter to you, there are plenty of cheap seeds to accommodate you. But if you are looking for the latest and greatest in genetics, it’s gonna cost you more of course.
And those that are fooling themselves or trying to fool others by saying all the seeds are the same, yeah right keep believing that shit. If you don’t know what you are buying or what it is worth, you will aways be victim to overpaying for seeds. Do your homework. Peace bros.

There are plenty of guys around here who don’t believe in purchasing genetics.
But for some reason they want others to believe that they have the best.
Most of them are shitting on the popular breeders while at the same time, trying to sell popular breeders work by undercutting their prices.
The shit so real, ever wonder why they never grow out their own crosses… that’s because they don’t believe in their work and already know it’s some bullshit.
They would rather let’s someone else spend their time and resources to find out of the cross was successful. Or at least good enough to sell beans from.
I’m not promoting expensive beans, I’m just saying pay closers attention to who you are getting your beans from if you want more than that “meh” that’s floating all over the place.
Everyone wants to blame legalization and the medical scene for the decline of cannabis. In my opinion it’s these fuxk boys that are are ruining cannabis.
The same fux boys that tell you not to buy a polyhybrid from a breeder when you can get one from them for a cheaper price.
Let me choose, do I want a breeder’s poly that has proven genetics or do I want to buy a fux boy’s work, that he got from some other fux boy and is now trying to shove it on the next man.
Yeah keep buying that shit. It’s no wonder it’s cheap. Then those same mofo that breed it, will have the nerves to get on here and complain about. Wtf!
What are you complaining for when you saw that shit at 2 months old and barely 8” tall. But you bought into that shit anyway because his buddy help him scam your ass.
What type of mofo will scam you for $40 or $50 You already know that’s a crackhead.
That’s reason enough for me to grow good seeds… so I can avoid that bullshit that I’m taking about. There is a reason why your bud suck…. That’s because you bought some cheap ass bullshit. Better than that, somebody gave that cheap shit to you. So that you if you don’t mind wasting your time and resources growing that shit when there is so much better stuff out there. If you are going to buy into cheap as seeds, you may as well be growing bag seeds… because they are cheaper. Peace

which breeders/prices do you believe are solid?

800 for any breeder i would have to laugh tho.

Brother I’m not promoting anyone. I’m promoting good senses.
800 for a 10 pack of seeds. 10 seeds x 5 ounces = 50 ounces. That’s 3.125 pounds for 800. Plus clones. Plus the money you make from selling your buddies clones. Chances are you are going to sell a few seeds.
That $800 cut down on the rift rafts who only want to copy their work. Only true fans are going to spend that $800. It’s funny how those $800 packs sell out in minutes, while that cheap shit is sitting on the shelf, getting discounted more and more every day. Any way brother I’m not here to pick a fight or take sides. You do you and stay lit homie. Peace.
