very nice grow space and healthy plants! wow, you get to play with all the seeds at once, it would take me a year to get through all those, totally jealous.
Is that white thing in back some kind of reservoir, or do you hand water? are they in their final containers - how big are the pots??
cool, thanks, are you doing organic ferts or no? lot of questions today I guess! I’ve been doing well with 18.5 liter containers but I want to use more plants in 14L next time. Going to try adding 1/3rd coir to my peat mix to help.
The sweet tangy tropical fruit flavors of C99 are amazing and become addictive, along with the unique euphoric high. Any time my supply starts to run low I start more seeds!
The WW I grew has more of an astringent taste, like orange peel instead of orange. another good one but I like the high of C99 better. It’s energetic, happy, and trippy all at the same time. I’ve still got a few ounces of this one in my jars:
All Canna Nutes;
Rhizotonic,
Canazyme,
Terra Vega,
Terra Flores,
CalMag,
In BioBizz organic soil All Mix.
While they were small in their cups under flouros for the 1st few weeks they were also fed with the above PLUS the mono nutrient (N) nitrogen to up the food from 1.2ec to 1.5ec than diluted with water back down to 1.2ec to give a higher nitrogen feed around week 3-4 from germination to encourage higher female ratio from standard seeds.
All the other seeds are white widows or in Mr Nice’s case black widow.
With the widows you have to check the trichs to determine the high or stone, its a very heavily in bred plant variety, i have recently lost 1 of my age old mothers which made me get seeds from as many breeders of widow as possible to try and find a replacement for the fine lady I lost a white label from 1998. Curing also has a big effect on widow bud its been pretty much my main stay for over 20 years lol.
I’m looking forward to trying the fdm varities never had any of them before, they smell really nice, I tried to slot them into the better postions to give them their fair chance of showing me what they can do
I have 16 pots under 600w in 1.2 sq metres x 4 in that room. 2.4kw hps total.
thanks for all the info! very helpful. I was impressed by WW, great yielder in addition to unique taste & buzz. Good non-sleepy pain relief without tripping out. Myself and a few friends want to try it again, but I failed to make seeds or clones, will have to try Black Widow. A lot of good Dutch strains aren’t popular in the US.
Durban is another one, SSH haze, etc. I want to try some of Baudelaire’s Durban crosses and make clones for outdoors next year.
I have Baudelaires Genrals Daughter (G13 x C99) if im correct and his Durban Poison x Thai Hihg Flyer again think thats right from memory on the go also. They are both taller plants that stretch well into the 3rd or 4th week of bloom as I understand Mr B will be able to tell you more.
I will update how I get on with those in due course there only a couple of weeks old, pics above somewhere in cups.
The Janis is like widow apparently, it looks similar to my more indica dom pheno widows, Janis (Early Pearl x DJ shorts Blueberry x Haoi Widow) again from memory.
@Herbie Everything’s looking nice in there. Janis’s WW lineage is to the 1998 Aloha White Widow, which reportedly came from a cut purloined from the 1995 Cannabis Cup winner mother that Greenhouse displayed at the Cup that year.
You are right about the stretch on General’s Daughter and the Durban-Thai HF. GD will stretch out and then fill in with chunky buds. DTH has a typical tropical sativa profile from the Thai, tempered by the Durban and Cindy.
I knew it was something to do with hawaii isnt Aloha hello in Hawaii ? It was from memory and to say I forget more than most people read is a compliment to myself, but I do have short term memory loss sometimes. Looking forward to growing them all out and trying the end products
Main projects are selections for the next gen of General’s Daughter. And there’s the Sweet Tooth revival project. And an indoor Haze hybrid that doesn’t use Afghani to keep it under 8 feet and 70 days, and actually delivers a Haze high.
Other side of the room has been a bit of a departure for me as I catch up on the OG’s, Purples and Diesel varieties that dominate the California market these days. Fire OG, Chemdawg and Gorilla Glue are all impressive clones, if a bit “effete” in their presentation. Thinking of some crosses into sat-doms that might restore some vigor and sativa edge…
On deck, a survey of a cache of seeds from Nevil’s The Seed Bank that have been in his, and my, freezers since 1991. Last germ test was in 2001 (+95%), so anything could happen, but I think I’ll be able bring some real classics back into the community with a little effort. Starting with three different accessions of original Ortega I hope to sort out.
Mr. B, it goes without saying i’m in on the whole project, it all sounds great! Best of luck and good vibes towards that garden. It’s destined to spreading the love around the globe!
