Hunting Lucky Dog, Top Dawg, Prolific Coast Seeds, Freeborn Selections, CSI

yeah the giant round leaves are the pine tar kush, i planted those instead of some other seeds that didn’t germinate, heard there’s not a big chance of finding anything good in these, with a small number of seeds anyways, we’ll see

the seed plants are kept as moms only, but i might try cloning directly into the soil, like stick the cuttings directly in the 60gals with a dome on top, i’ve only had success doing it that way especially with cover crop growing at the same time i think that might be the key right there, the germinating seeds and roots does something to the cutting and helps it root i think, but i’ll do the domes too, i’m kinda testing shit

bruh, that’s like the laaaamest dude in baseball i hate that nice guy shit, plus wasn’t he choking in the series last year? He’s gonna have to grow on me cause that’s corey seger replacement and i loved that dude… we got bauer pitching this year seems like! that’s my type of dude!

the forbidden fruit s1 from CSI i got smells exactly like the fruit overdose i remember, i’m sure i’ll find a very good one in a 7 pack, like you said it’s no joke, to me that strain is absolutely totally 100% underrated, it’s THE most intense flavor, i couldn’t believe i finally found some seeds for sale

yeah they are, the plant are not growing any fucking stems, only fat gigantic leaves, i’m waiting on 'em to catch up, i might have to cut like the top 90% of the plants as a cutting and leave some bare minimum leaves to reveg, and the sour bubble are very cool looking i agree

and i didn’t buy 'em i bought only 1 pack of forbidden fruit from CSI and put a note saying “can i get pine tar kush freebies please” the gave me 3 or 4 packs of 'em

What? He batted .318 in the World Series, 22 at-bats, seven hits, two home runs. I’ll take that. And I don’t care if he’s a “nice guy” or not, anybody who hits .318 in ANY series, I want them on my team.

No comment haha…

More pictures of the pine tar kushes i’m trying to make grow stems, it’s kinda not working, they have a few pistils that means they went thru the stretch but they are a IBL of a pakistani indica landrace as far as i know

3 or 4 packs??

Jesus lol… That’s the hook up right there :sunglasses::beers:!

I’d really like to grow some pine tar that originated from Tom. I’m sure most, if not all do… but I’ll have to do some research.

I’ve got way too many sour bubble projects that I need to get through first… but those fat leaves are calling me lol.

There’s so many things I want to run. Those I-80, and a few others from top dawg, karma… my god so many man.

A plant like that could yield a ton with a bunch of them properly trained underneath a solid light.

So beautiful… I’ve heard the smoke is good too. But good luck on your pheno hunt my guy :muscle:.

Nothing to do with this current hunt but this is an amazing keeper plant i almost lost, had to clone from a flowering clone, treated like garbage and i’m trying to revive it DJ Short style, cut the roots, new soil, in the warm sun. this is a cut i call o-gelato (maqui gelato x garlic bread) freebie by bred by 42, gassy creamy OG with devastating potency, shout out to bred by 42 for this one seed popped keeper

the nugs are photogenic, real heavy, sticky and stays sticky for a long long time

day 34

the unhappy plants are mostly forbidden fruit that got bonsaied and overwatered, and i’m seeing a lot of dark red stems on most strains, i never know if thats ok, so i gotta wait more before i take clones

i was hoping the plants would reveg quicker and most of 'em are, i got the forbidden fruit, meow and cold cookies that are not wanting to reveg

ugliest plant in the room

and the pine tar kushes are driving me insane, what is this shit haha

mostly pointing out the issues, everything else is fine, you can see some weird reveg growth but most plants are growing pretty normal

day 35

you know when you take a clones you cut off nodes and leaves, someone told me you can cut those off, let the plant repair the wounds, then take the cut, makes sense to me, so i’m trying that on a couple branches per plant

before

after

last time i took clones it was too wet, i had got mold in there, so this time i had the dome dryer, until i saw some of these bumps

then yesterday i turned up the humidity and heat a little and roots popped real quick

so what do you guys think about red stems? they are a little woody too, no yellowing of the leaves for the most part, and thanks for checking out my experiments!

It’s probably just genetics; seems a little early for them to be going through some kind of Mg deficiency. Unless flipping them to flower and then flipping back to veg maybe fucked them up. I dunno.

i kinda rulled out genetics cause most plants have red stems no matter the strain, im using new soil and fertilizer so maybe it is a mg deficiency, i added a little more top dress on everyone, i’ll see if the new stems are greener then red, the plants have been bonsaied down a lot, i’m sure they ate a lot of their food already, so yeah mg deficiency or lock would make sense

Really excited to see how the I-80 and SDBX4 turn out! I only hear great things about JJs work, good luck finding some keepers

Looking great as always my friend, no idea how this one slipped by me, but I’m here and definitely excited for that line up. I’m having similar issues with my pre-98 Bubba as you with the PTK. They just don’t wanna grow, everything else is huge, they are squat and tight as hell. Idk what’s up

mines are revegging, i dont think it was a good idea to sex the plants the way i did specially for those, even tho it worked great for most plants

btw i did (almost) 12/12 from seed then 24/0 but some are dead set on flowering

Been following along. My buddy just did the 12/12 to sex some seeds. The really heavy indicas just wanted to keep going. He was getting bud formation and resin even after going back to 24/0.

Looking great!

yeah i don’t think it’s common practice… cause it kinda sucks lol, but i had to try it

i’m getting a less-red-stem vibe today after top dressing the day before yesterday and yesterday, new fertilizer im using is less hot than the one i’m used to. i realize i’m always doing new shit, i cant just find a way and stick to it haha

welcome and thanks, i’m exited too, i definetly dont have as many females of sour diesel and guerilla fume as i was hoping, but sometimes you get lucky! yeah the PTK is definetly not a modern hybrid type plant, at all, the main stem is humongous, the smells of it is nasty too, nutty and bitter, i hate 'em so far haha

The trying new things is a problem with me also. Mostly trying to many things all at once, so I have no real clue what did what.

Mostly run hybrid and clones. Recently started some seeds that were very indica hp-7 early Iranian. These would go to flower at 20 inches and maybe finish at 24. I was really not used to the lack of stretch

Ptk sounds very similar. You do have me curious about them.
