Landraces of India

the aroma contains terpinolene and something sweet. Variqs of the other uhkrul have died from the cold. The uhkrul stiletto seems not to affect him.

Someday I truly hope there is some sort of Special Sauce we can put on these types of plants to prevent them from misbehaving

Right! Although, I’ll bet the answer will be shared by one of our green fingered brethren.

Have people been getting seeds from this guy? I’ve been waiting over a year. He just keeps stringing me along.

Yes, was very kind.
Some months to wait, but once sent something like 38 days postal transit (it’s India…) to land in Europe.
He was active on IG at that time.

Nice Himalayan exploration. I’ll be interested to see what you find.

I don’t know what happened to him either. I used to recommend him, but then I hear stories like this, so i stopped. All I can say is that if you do get something from him it will be Indian. I amassed a great collection from him that will take me a lifetime to go through. Lots of West Indian heirlooms and many landraces too, though often you can’t be sure which one it is. All we know is the town of collection and the state that town is in . What seeds have you been waiting for?
@PineTarBastard was the other one that never got anything.
Is there anyone else that’s been waiting?

I once waited over a year for Kerala seeds…
But now I have seven unknown Kerala varieties to go through. Except to say so here, I haven’t thought about how long I waited for the seeds since I got them😁

Are you now taking Seeds from the fridge to Germ @Tlander ?

I’ve enjoyed a good Germ % with hot tap-water.

Yep, I’ve spent the last month transferring bulk beans to little glass vials, labeling 'em and the wholesale boxes the bulk vials come in are perfect for the refrigerator. I was using the hot water consistently until it suddenly stopped working for me…last few batches have been direct seeded into plugs w/o any soak and they’ve responded with 100% germ! Who fkn knows? Whatever works!

I ordered a handful of strains from Shiv, but never got them. We chatted back and forth for a couple months, trying to get it resolved… but there were long periods of radio silence and I finally just gave up.

I think I finally ordered some Indian and Himalayan strains from… ACE? Maybe Real, maybe Landrace Team? I forget now. I haven’t had time to run them yet anyway…

Well I’m so glad I asked @Tlander

Nice that you changed-gears before throwing up any hands, and found better results.

I’m going to chill some orphaned seeds and then float a batch; see what happens.

You are doing something with your seed collection, that I have been avoiding.
All of the individual Seed pucks, vials, flips, breeder paks that these beans arrive-in, hold so much character to the practise.

I remember the pkgs and conversations around each one since I’ve joined OG.!!!
Definitely a Vibe thats hard to transfer into a vial.

Kudos to You T, I need fridge storage, and vials R looking so Logical

Thanks for sharing that paper ~ mb

Yeah, I know that feeling, but my housekeeper feels that the refrig is for my FOOD! Imagine that! I only vialed up the beans in bulk bags/tubes, anything in pucks is in separate boxes still to be saved up for mailings. I bought the amber glass ones that are about 1/2" tall w/good screw-on lids. Depending on bean size, they’ve been holding 50-80 beans each. If you order them, keep the box and foam insert. Hate that the lids are too small to label, so I have to pull each vial to actually read the label, but at least they now all fit in the refrigerator!
Good luck with the new germ tech!

I expected pushback from my wife for taking up 1/8 of the top shelf. Three years, nary a word.
