Landraces of India

This will put plants into flower but not shorten the flower time , light dep is to achieve flowering during longer summer days .

Funny you should mention that… @Shiv9545 has some growing now. Sounds legit, with that under watered look…not sure if he is making seeds or not. Also, @Solowolf will be growing a couple Hindu kush varieties for seed…maybe this spring(?)

No. It’s the one labeled East Manipur/ Burma border. The blue buds plants. Ukhrul is a more rustic version cultivated by the Naga tribe. These are more recent cannabis farmers, and they do not yet kill nearby feral weed, so their stuff is open pollenated, and mixed with local feral weed , whereas the other is highly selected/ seedless. Ukhrul can have very potent plants, but on average, less potent than east manipur/ Burma border.

You would still need a 12/12 flowering cycle as these will revert back into veg during the long summer days in a temperate climate… although these tropical varieties will continue to flower with days growing longer in January and February in their native areas, the day length is still very short…

I took some grapefruit clones put them out side… Started flowers then reVEGGED then flowered again

I’ve had that happen too… I actually got two harvests that way. The plant made flowers when I put it out in April, nearly finished flowering but not quite, and then revegetated in June, with another harvest in October.

Beautiful pictures there! Have you had a chance to sample the flowers yet? Some seriously nice resin formation, and large calyxs. I know you’re limited with how many pictures you can post for now, but do you have any pictures of that bhadra sativa? Trimbak? Matori? I don’t know how to make those pictures up above any bigger…

Ahhhh ok, understood. Get a little confused with all the regional borders, thanks for clarification. Ukrhul has some gems in there for sure, my first landrace strain and I’ve been hooked since. I found an amazing pheno that had a strong earthy/lemon/cherry taste and got me high as shit. This was before I got into breeding and was still learning how to grow, I just got some more at the end of 2020 so maybe I’ll get lucky again.

I’ve heard there are some extremely potent plants to be found in Ukhrul. How many plants did you grow when you found one? I hope you’re as lucky the second time around.

Everyone has probably seen the Indian Landrace Exchange website. But if not, I thought I would attach.
