I’d contribute to an effort to get Indian seeds @CocoaCoir.

Nice looking plants. Got a pack of these too, great to see what I can expect. :yum:

The first pair of leaves came out somewhat damaged, then it took a long time for any bud to emerge from that apical ridge, it only produced one bud on the first true pair of leaves and a little above the second pair of leaves it gave a knot of only one leaf, From then on it is a helical phenotype, like a vine, with only one leaf per node. It is an uttarkahnd, it is like it has the stem of a flowering plant, with that characteristic zig-zag

Interesting structure. I feel like the plant is asking for a bigger container

So he finally contacted me back. He says he got caught with some flower. He spent some time in jail and the cops bribed him and he had to pay them off. Then he’s been laying low as they didn’t know about the seed business. He said he had 4 outstanding orders and apologized. He sounded like he’s telling the truth by the conversation we had. I figured I’d fill anyone in who has an order with him. You might try reaching out now.

Thanks for letting us know, @Ottafish that sucks.
Weird that his country, which has such a long history with cannabis and incorporating it into the culture, is now cracking down. Wtf?

I hope Shiv is ok, and maybe he’ll drop back in sometime :+1:

Why is Modi being blamed. :joy: Diplomatically, India is doing quite good, especially with foreign relations with his government.
Infact it was the opposition (Congress party) that brought in the law banning cannabis in 1985 under immense pressure from the US. Nepal banned it in '73 and the Indians held it upto 10+yrs later.

Just wanted to say, things have always been fine here in India if one knows the right people. The crack downs that are happening now are still repercussions of the the Cannabis laws passed down upon us from the US. Every year the police have to complete a certain number of cases and hence periodically shit happens. Add that to naxals and politicians running the illegal market makes that even more riskier to source seeds directly from the farmers, especially below central India.
In the North , due to its cultural and religious significance and also considering it’s a weed, it grows rampant especially in the states of Uttrakhand and Himachal. Hence it’s much more easier to source seeds there even if one makes a trip casually in the countryside.

This is what one can expect in Himachal:

My understanding, specifically about cannabis, is that the Modi government is strongly anti-weed.
I absolutely acknowledge that the news I receive is often filtered through a US centric cultural lens, so I’m open to alternative perspectives.
Also: Nice tree!

Every government takes a stance against it as public perception has been marred since it was classified as a drug. Medical research on the plant is not the same as how it’s in the West. He’s a politician nonetheless and majority in this country still haven’t smoked to give a thumbs up.:joy: Busy sending rockets to the Moon…:rocket:
Soros is doing his best to do away with Modi but that’s a different story.

I’ve been waiting for sixteen months so that excuse doesn’t cover my order.

I agree
The shipping problems had been happening before this.
I clearly told you guys that he was not going to leave so easily.
Do you have any idea how much he makes selling seeds that he probably gets for free?
I’m just saying that we have to make him comply with what is pending before sending him more money.

Yeah I take what he said with a grain of salt. He only responded after I told him his name is being tarnished about unfilled orders. We’ll see… I already chalked it up to a loss. So if I get them it’s a bonus at this point.

Sure, however the current government has significantly increased cannabis related arrests and prosecution over the last several years, as well as labeling their action as a crackdown. That’s more than taking a stance.

I invite you to India.
Come see it yourself brother.
It’s the naxals the government is against.
Naxals are backed by Soros. Manipur is a perfect example.

That might have something to do with the loads of Meth( or MDMA, i can never tell the difference lol)that is being imported/cooked by the politicians (or their supporters)…

And also the government prefers to sell alcohol because of the various distilleries owned by politicians…

I don’t know about others but after taking up weed, i completely despise alcohol now…
