Legalization in NY this year?

Yeah. I would not be at all surprised if it does end up not getting passed this year, but right now it appears to be still on-track.

Cuomo said a few days back that it wouldnt happen. There is no time to get things done for this season. Tuesday was the deadline…a couple days ago. I see the new info you posted tho… but I will be shocked if it happens. Not enough time to apply for permits…maybe they will approve it, but for next a year start.

New York just came to agreement for legalized cannabis including homegrown!!! :star_struck:

I’m shocked. I didn’t think they had it in them. It won’t be for this year though, at least not dispensaries. A year after the law goes into effect dispensaries open. Maybe homegrown for the summer though. I need to rent a backhoe LOL. Only allowed 6. I don’t know if that’s per person or per household

What I read didnt say how many, but said It was legalizing and also working out how many plants should be aloud per “household”. Number will most likely change if you hava a med card. But hey ! You can do a lot with six plants and a backhoe ! im stoked !

I and my wife qualify for a med card, but there is too much bs involved with it so never bothered to get one.

Won’t mean dick if Biden and congress don’t legalize federally. We’re all at least a little in the cross hairs until that happens, and it probably won’t.

Indeed, with all the other crap going on at the present time, I don’t think the Feds are going to worry about Home Growers. I said it before, and still maintain, by next year, Congress AND Senate will allow Cannabis!!! SS/BW…mister :honeybee: :100:

“New Yorkers with a green thumb would be allowed to grow up to six pot plants each, either indoors or outdoors, and households would be limited to 12 plants total.”

If u read fine print it says homegrown will be allowed 18 months after recreational sales are up and running which could take over a year plus the 18 months . I highly doubt most will wait , a bad neighbor could cause problems until its legal.

What’s it say about medical @MrG ? Do you have the fine print?

Per the NY Times: “Medical marijuana patients, or their designated caregivers, could also grow the plants, starting six months after the bill becomes law”

They are also expanding the conditions that qualify for medical, so it should be fairly easy to get approved for medical until recreational home growing becomes legal.

Look up the bill , all your questions will be answered

Not allowing home growing for 18 months after rec sales? So basically that gives them 28 more months to steal plants from people’s yards to get them in corporate hands. Why else add that clause? Another two-and-a-half fuc#ing years… for fuc#sake I’ll be dead before I get a chance to grow a fuc#ing plant in this state legally. Pricks. Time to dig holes in the bush .AGAIN…Damnit!
Sorry for the rant. I typed what was going thru my head at the time.

Yeah from what I read, dispensary should be open by Dec 2022 then they say citizen’s cant grow their own for 18 months after dispensarys open. So a year and a half. BUT I did read in another article that people with med cards can grow 6 months after the BILL passes.
I cant seem to find a copy of the bill yet.
After it passes thou you can grab a med card if you dont have one already, and you should be able to grow within 6 months. Everyone else has to wait for the dispensary monopoly to bank for over a year.
Once again they didnt do this for the people, they are doing this for money and greed. They are tied to the dispensarys and will be collecting money from them to feed the states pockets. So they monopolized it by saying noone else can bank on it for almost 2 years. SMH at least med patients can start early.
