OK I’m seeing how important drying is. These buds don’t like the first bud. I put them in a paper bag to slow down the drying. Never did it this way. Here it is.

I shake it every now and again, right?

That looks superb

Thanks sir. They are at that stage where they feel a little fluffy. So I took em down and put it all in the paper bags.
The RH meter says it’s 47% when I pull it out so I’m going to assume it was a little higher in there. No higher then 50% I’m sure. I hope the paper bags help with the slower dry.

Not sure what humidity you like your buds at but 47 is on the drier side for me wonder if you should jar them to slow it even more?

I agree with @ShiskaberrySavior .
I think 55% ± humidity would be great for a slow dry.

I do believe curing takes place between 55% and 65%. You really want to keep it in that range for proper curing IMO.

I don’t have a glass jar that big I do have rubber made containers. Will that work?
Thanks guys for the help. I’m OoL (Out of Likes)

They will if they seal well. You could always run a piece of duct tape round the rim to helps seal it.

They have a good seal.

It’s still climbing. I might split it up more and burp it more frequently and roll em around.
I’m up to 68. Maybe I should put em back in the bag for a little bit.

You could drop them back in the bag till the meter hits 60 and than back in Tupperware. After a few times it will equalize as the internal moisture comes out, I like to try and get it stable around 60 to 62 %.

Thanks. I put them back I. The bag. I will put them back in the RM in the morning.

Or vacuum seal and freeze no need to burp

I really want to invest in a vacuum seal. Dose it really cure on its own in the freezer?

I’m curious to know the answer to that. I always thought it would make it wayyy too dry.
I know the freezer stuff from the LP’s in Canada is dried to almost dust

If dried to 55/60% then sealed and froze it will keep almost indefinitely in the freezer. I can cut open a bag 6/8 months later and you’d swear it’s as fresh as the day it went in.
Just make sure almost all the air is removed almost to the point of it turning into a brick , my trick is put it in a zip lock then squeeze the air out leaving just enough air to keep it from crushing then put the zip lock in the freezer bag and seal once it’s somewhat starting to compress is when you’ll want to stop the vacuum and seal it .
Another trick using the vacuum sealer on airy buds to get them solid don’t double bag just throw straight into a vacuum bag compress and leave for a couple weeks in the freezer open and break the compressed block apart gently and your buds naturally will have compressed into a hard bud.
A bit of info on vacuum sealers spend a few dollars more and get one that has a manual seal button the cheaper models don’t and you’ll end up over squishing into a solid brick before it auto seals for you.

That’s about 3 oz of purple dream that was stored as I described above approximately 7 month back

Very interesting! I have a food saver. I should try this. I have a bunch of airy White Widow Buds. Once you get beyond the hair it has good bud in there. Potent. Ugly ass buds tho.

I am going to have to try that two bag tip. I do believe you have invented a solution to a problem. I vacuum seal and hate compacting the buds. Now it can work great to firm up airy bud also. I agree a shut off is a must, you must be able to stop the vacuum then seal

@ShiskaberrySavior funny how that shit is. It was definitely one of those “why didn’t I think of that moments”… :joy:. Great Fix, even the simple things where somebody’s idea first
