My dude used to work up in Mendocino county in a little town called covalo? He had the best bud! He said they gave him a 12 gauge pump and a tent and put him on the side of a hill for a month! He mostly cooked for the growers but he picked up a lot of good info. Lol.

He told me some funny ass storys! I guess everyone would hang at the one pizza place. Well one night this old head gave him some mushrooms, about a half hour later old dude told him to watch out for “ the lights”. When dude was leaving the laser lights spinning on the floor made him walk right smack into a wall! Haha ! Old dude was on point huh!

I wouldn’t be surprised if og was NL from emerald x NL2

Og kush is emerald triangle x Hindu Kush. Sfv og is a s1 of ghost and is more floppy and slower to go into flower. This leads me to believe emerald triangle was a floppy Indian ganja or Vietnamese style plant but who knows , the ghost is more vertical less bush and less flop , can def see it being part Hindu. The 92 is much more compact untill flower then it stretches and gains the flop. There all similar but different in more ways then one.
People in nor Cal were breeding the best plants that would finish fast and maintain a strong smell and taste combined with a good high. Wasn’t so much about keeping track of what was what as it was just having a good unique strain
Speculating on what emerald triangle is entertaining but it’s one of those mysteries lost in the past.

Oh I agree northern lights esp that plant looks alot like og in terms of stucture and leaf to nug ratio I’m just saying we will never know for sure. There was certainly alot of northern lights , blueberry , skunk and many others being grown at the time. That plant right there has almost identical leafs and looks the most like it with out being bred down from it Ive seen in a long time.
The 92 og looks alot like old pictures of nl#5 and more like that then the ghost does. I’d love to see some real genetic data but I don’t trust the labs

I dont think i woulda come outta pocket that much either, thats a lot of money lol. Glad to hear you got your hands on em eventually. I never realized the og cuts were goin for that much around that time. Mine was a birthday gift when i turned 20, she was my 5th plant and the first i cloned. I dont think i have to tell you about the learning curve i had to deal with. Green as fuck it took me 3 grows before i was able to get quality nugs hell i woulda gave up if i hadnt seen what my homie put out with it. I am a firm believer that if you can overcome the delicate finnicky bag of flop… You can handle about any strain.

Yeah the og is definitely a different plant to grow then others, finicky little bitch and always wants to be to tall.
Ironically the ghost og isent as floppy as the others, the sfv is a floppy little Bitch for sure but the ghost has a more rigid stick like structure.
The 92 looks super rigid and compact untill it flowers and then it goes full flopp with a quickness.

Its cause the ghost was a f1 pheno that gives it its vigor and why the s1 sfv is like limp noodles. I found that the best headband tends to be really floppsalot too

Its an og thing lol

Yep I was always told the sfv was a s1 from the ghost and I can totally see that. The ghost is like a Hindu but with alot of stretch and thin little branches.

As someone from the bay area scene you just dated yourself with those two strains. I never liked infinite euphoria but the diamond OG cut my buddy Jude (RIP!) got me from east oakland was some sick ass weed. I can still smell and taste it. It was so narcotic and hashy tasting!

I can ask around on my end. I know it’s up in the PNW as Archive used it in their Casper OG
