Maybe the original oldschool Skunk crossed with X lines is better for producing an RKS than the current Skunk lines.
So yes, i consider it relevant.
And i was asking if some one had any experience with any of them.

I can tell you that skunk is alive and well here in the bay area. Actual skunks and also skunk coming out of peoples car windows. I don’t think it can be found in “Skunk #1” as that’s not even RKS or skunk spray at all. If I were to look, I would search within certain valleys in Himilayas known to have rather diverse smells including dead animal and skunk spray. Also Afghanistan has many.

I smell skunk at least once a month in the kc area driving around. I havent seen a skunk, living or dead, in over 10 years. It fills my vehicle to the point I begin to worry my clothes will stink at work, and after a few minutes its gone.
I can tell its weed, I cant tell if the thyol being the only remaining detectable scent or its skunk weed. I know I sound crazy, but its the main reason I come to this thread. I dont know if its rks or something to do with thyols being more detectable when the smoke has been diffused into the air, or something else, but I believe the skunk smell is present in some shape or form.

this Peruvian pink aka colombian pink is stellar made the cross in 2020 in manitoba.
island pink kush (pre soviet hashplant) x Pure peru (original colombian gold)
she has a ways to go and so do her seeds. both parent plants are very special and this is the first time I ran her.

@Tolerance_Break if you’re sure it’s weed and it’s everywhere I’d guess GMO.
In the 30 years I’ve been smoking and growing I’ve never had anything called road kill skunk. Used to get very skunky weed but it wasn’t called RKS, the smelliest plant from back then and what my memory of RKS is a cultivar called green spirit, one little nug stunk up my entire house like a skunk sprayed . We would get this very skunky plant once in a while from a grower in the area known as “China Man” He always had that in rotation with white widow. Mid to late 90’s and was around until 2004 ish and then he disappeared . Thing is Green spirit was a big bud and skunk1 cross. Skunk1 used to have some skunk spray smells but not anymore.

yeah that sounds spot on with my recollection of timing and smells. Haven’t seen anything like that since 03/04-ish myself.

So allow me to enlighten you.
Skunk-scam Sam…and all his stories that never add up has one that claims original skunk weed (rks) was a hybrid of a northern presoviet afghani hindu kush (read whole thread as it seems you havent) x colombian gold.
So even though I really don’t beleive much he says based on actual evidence it doesn’t mean the afghani X gold story isn’t true.
You see…when you really want to accomplish something. You have to take info, advice and genetics from everywhere and everyone and make it happen. Process of elimination
P.s. FYI “pink kush” is a pre soviet afghani kush hashplant

I’ve read from nevil himself on the MSNL forum that the 1990 super skunk was not the sssc skunk 1 x afgahn cross but in fact was a skunk18.5 x maple leaf indica
I would be interested in replicating this cross if I new where how and when to get a “skunk 18.5”
