Banana Slammer nr 3
9w flow and 2 days, maybe a few days to long for this one.
Smells like a Martini with orange peel zeste. Its like girls perfume.
Exited to try out these very dense flowers.
LA Banana Cake (one of 2 i kept)
9weeks flow and 2 days. Nice colors, reeks like banana peel milkshake.
A Banana Punch dominant phenotype, but not 100%. ( I also grow the original Symbiote Banana Punch, so i know what i say…)
It’s been around for some grows allready since it was selected.
Strawberry Rain (a different pheno than the Red One who is ranked as nr2, this one is my nr1)
It maybe not look dark red like nr 2, but the magic happens in the jars.
9 weeks and 2 days, my precious one. Terp and frost overload. Concrete solid buds.
2+ years work and i kept 4 in total. Soon they will only be with 3.
In the middle crate at the back, i commonly put trusted value plants from my own collection.
To select plants i need a clear view to judge.
That middle spot at the back is hard to keep an eye on.
This is why LA Banana Kush and Strawberry Rain are in TL1 in the mid of selection plants.
I also love them and wanted them for summer break. They will be perfectly cured by then.

Banana Slammer nr 3
TL1, 9w and 4/5 days flow
Very dense buds, smell is tropical with high spice notes, same perfume sensing.
Some trays of nice flowers from only one plant.
Nr 2 smelled more static, Nr3 smells less but when touched terps explode
@Zanzibar, this is a cross of Banana Punch with the infamous LA Kush Cake.
LA Confidential is OG LA affie vs afgani (afghani vs afghani) and is very indica, slow vegger and PIA to clone.
I used the HTCC 2005 clone from DNA.
It will be easy for you to spot the phenotypes.
@Terpsnpurps, i prefer not all pistils to be ripe. No there is not yet trich degradation in this stage.
Its a personal choice to go for more head than body. But … thats not a certain science.

I do not have much words for this piece of crap.
Low yield and very simple spicy terps. A little bag appeal does not make me happy when all other specs are worthless.
Compost material.
LA Banana Cake, same one like showed some days ago but full view now.
After enough grows of both selections competing, i have decided to also dump this one.
They both got fair chances.

I really appreciate the professional description of quality vs quantity… and all the other aspects alot of us either don’t consider as much or don’t think about in the 1st place… like " simple spice terp profile" really helps paint a good picture man!! Thank you for doing this work and help weed out the bad vs fire… worth it vs not worth it… it’s very helpful my friend!!

You could see selecting as a waste of power but it is not.
It’s part of the job and in the biggest part of the plant world its the same thing.
R&D costs. If you dont do it, you gain nothing.
The outselected plants are not bad to smoke,
If they are not special enough and not all specs are on point, i ditch em.
You need to be very cruel in selections.
When you have a mommy room full with top notch strains, there is no room for average.
The longer you grow, the more you have seen and the higher you set the standard.
Keeping average is waste of energy.

i don´t talk of “keeping average”…sure you got to do selection,no doubt! i just say,it´s a waste of power and resources,if you throw a1 bud like this on the compost pile.
of course i know,you can not just pass it to your neighbours or friends(it´s not tomatoes or leftover cucumbers) ,but it´s kinda sad,you got to toss away this dank looking ganja.
