My first bagseed grow

Here’s today’s pics. They look ready to burst if they are male. Should I pull them or wait and see? I’m seeing clusters instead of any pitils at all, but it does have one spot lower down with a call and pitils trying to pop out.

Here’s a pic of my best female. She just dgaf and is budding all over now

Here’s the top and side pics I can manage rn. That female is my tallest too LoL :ok_hand:

If someone can suggest a way I can safely collect pollen I do want to breed with the pollen and the clones of the tall female and the other female in the opposite corner on the same side once I clone them after harvest. I really want to see what kind of plants they’ll make together. The tall female is taller than the males are and the other female has such dense tall growth and thick stems I was convinced she would be male too. I’m expecting some nice colas on that one.

I ordered another splitter, apack of 2 reptile bulbs with 97% UVA & 3% UV-B, and a couple of 2700k corncob LEDs. Those other 2 6000k ones are doing a lot of good so far.

You should cut down the males and wait to do some pollen chucking until after you have a few grows under your belt.

I figured. When should I pull them? It’s lights out rn. I wanted to give them a day more to be sure. But those pics say a thousand words to me

I would cut them at the base, not pull them up. Wait until the day cycle, let them sleep. Yes the ones you posted pictures of are clearly males. I look for those clusters, they remind me of hops.

Somehow my tallest plant is a female LoL. Really goes to show that height isn’t a definitive marker for male plants

I finally did it. I just snipped off the males at the soil level. They’re sitting on my back porch now while I get myself together today. My hands reek of skunk now from the juices in the stem.

Here’s the rest of the pics minus males.

I just found this one in my place. Should I get rid of it or move it into the grow room?

I hate spiders, so I would stay away from it. LOL

Now that you got rid of the male plants, your humidity might go down (less foliage in there) and your other plants will get more light.

Good job.

I’m not gonna lie. I had to expose them to light leaks all day. I was about to pass out from heat exhaustion multiple times today. If I’m lucky I hardened them to it, bit I’m pretty sure that’s a genetic trait if I’m not mistaken. I read too much to keep track of things sometimes. I need to get a AC for my bedroom/livingroom. This heat is unbearable in August where I am. We had a freak downpour earlier. Completely drenched the males laying on my back porch I had forgotten about. After it stopped I took them and gave them to my mom to compost. It should help to make some nice compost.
After I harvest the plants I might take a cutting from each and start my cloning venture next. I’ll probably be throwing out the infested soil unless it magically solves itself by harvest. Who knows the wolf spider in the room might do that for me.

Spiders skeeve me out too @ReikoX
I had to work on it for years. After I couldn’t get rid of them no matter what I did I had to learn to appreciate them. Especially when I have fruit flies or pests. I haven’t seen an ant in days now. The pests are very low in number too despite the soil being watered last night. The drain on the bottom I have to solve ASAP. It nearly caused water damage to my hardwood floor. This is the only room left without it. There’s a garage directly below the room here. I definitely don’t want it to fall through if I’m not being careful. I helped to install these floors. I know what’s underneath. It looks like driftwood with 3-4 inch gaps between each board. The floor you see in my pics is only a half inch thick. Not even nailed in. The boards slide together. My hallway is the same and my dog peed on it so many times that it warped the wood and the floors creak a bit. I’m sure I’m worried for nothing, but I like to play it safe.

Holy crap that’s a wall! TL;DR: I’m worried about my floors caving in from water damage having a bin as heavy as my bed is on top, but in a smaller area. Also the lights are looking to be needing to be moved up soon.

They’re growing really fast now. Except for the corner one here

I’m assuming indica or it has the highest concentration of blue light. IDK either way the runt is taller than it now🤣 good job little sapling. Now it just has to start showing sex. I hope soon, but I think it needs more nodes correct? I believe it was at least 3 I remember seeing somewhere.

The runt is looking a little burnt or warm IDK which.

The heat and humidity yesterday was awful. That room was amazing all day after I turned it down to 70 and kept it there. Humidity is around 60% rn to as high as 80% earlier yesterday before the sun went down.
Some mushrooms popped out of the soil to lmk that it was humid AF yesterday.
I got the 2 UVA/UV-B reptile bulbs and the new splitter today.

The tall one is doing really well, but she’s stretching it looks like.

She’s showing such good bud sites it looks like she’ll be showing buds all over soon. I still see leaves growing at each tip, but I assume that will change after they reach a certain amount of time in flower. Correct me if I’m wrong.

There’s odd looking spots on one fan leaf here. It’s shiny like permanent marker.

The one back here seems to be getting a nitrogen toxicity?

I had too much runoff, so I had to deal with it and I thought to test it and saw the color turn the darkest shade on the chart on the nitrogen and phosphorus. Potassium is at adequate.

Lights are off now and they’ll have a fresh day with the new light set-up tomorrow. I need sunglasses to be in that room now. On the 13th I’ll get the other 2 corncobs and the light set-up will be complete for now.

I might get 2 more splitters for the other 2 sides of the HPS. It might help even out the lighting a bit and let me reduce the cord count around the plants. I’m still not even getting the timer, outlets, or either surge protector warm. The 2 new lights are 50w each(100w), the CFL is 28w on the 3rd setting, the 6000k corncobs are 24w each(48w), the 2700k LEDs are 9.5w each(28.5w), the 5000k LEDs are 10w each(40w), the HPS is 150w, and the 2700k corncobs are 24w each(48w). That puts me at 442.5w for the lights so far. I’m getting brownouts in my house almost every day now, but not in the grow room. Just in the lights in my living room ceiling fixture. I’m pretty sure it’s just the old wiring they used in those things. The wiring in the kitchen one corroded and has never been usable the whole time I’ve been here. Whoever it was that did it must be an idiot. That was blown wiring that corroded after the fact. Anyways this rant is mostly just a way to make sure I keep track of the amps I’m drawing. I’ll update my total draw once the lights come on and I can check the fans and AC.

@ReikoX have you ever seen purple shiny spots in any of your plants? That fan leaf is shading the runt rn. I’m not sure what’s happening there.

Looks like the runt is male.

Am I mistaken?
Lmk if I should cull it too or wait

Edit: @ReikoX thanks for the tip earlier. I’m scatterbrained from the heat and my friend’s drama while I help him get better. I’ll cut the runt down before it spreads pollen. Those are hops clusters. Balls🤷🏻‍♂️

Now that they had a day of UV light I’m curious if I’ll see anything noticably different when they wake up.

How should I go about removing the stems and roots leftover from the males? I don’t want to stress the plants

Well… That was a strong change vs yesterday. Now I see the pistils growing all over the place. Looking like I might see buds form soon.

Now the rest of the pics. They look so good today :ok_hand: first the overhead pics. The one with what appears to be nitrogen toxicity IDK what’s going on with it. The rest of the plants absolutely love the fertilizer. I’m seeing such fast growth.

Now all of them in 1 as usual.

What color should megacrop be after mixing? My first mix was brown and now it’s green on the second mix.

During the heatwave I spaced out and forgot to put the megacrop pouch in the fridge. Someone tell me how I should be storing it if no place is a dark and cool in my house aside from the fridge and maybe the dresser in the grow room.

The 2700k corncobs came in. The air purifier is only 1A, the fan is 0.5A, and the AC is a mystery. I can’t find any information on it. Here’s a pic of the barcode if anyone can help me.

There’s no information on it and I’ll need help to take it out if the info is on the sides. The growth is even better than the pics earlier. I’ll take pics after lights on.

The temp is at a constant 70f and 70% humidity. Any higher and the humidity raises to 80+%
The tops are now growing lots of white hairs, so I assume I’ll start to see colas soon. I see so many points where that’s happening on all of them and the growth shoots. I’ll be trying to grab some foxfarm and happy frog soon. First I need to buy a dehumidifier. I’ll try and see if I can’t today.

Can someone correct me if I’m wrong? I heard that cooler days and warmer nights promote shorter internodal growth. Of course nothing is guaranteed, but if I can keep the growth in check I’ll probably need to. I’ll try to get some garden ties too for training the parts still possible to train before the height is too tall for my lights. It’s too late to top/fim it I assume?

Also overall total amp draw is about 7-8A unless I find out the AC is a high amp draw.

It’s dark outside, so I moved them inside

Not the best lighting, but it’s dark outside rn. I’ll move them in the grow room at lights on. I have garlic cloves to plant as well. I’ll plant them regardless as I want to harvest them when they’re ready too. I love mint, basil, and garlic!:ok_hand:

I need to clean up the kitchen and bathroom again.
