New grow what's up

At this point, judging from the size of it, it’s simply because of root limitation.
You are growing in a pot after all.

There will be more yellowing leaves as the plant shifts that energy towards the flowers.
It’s really quite an elegant system, the leaves return to the soil and feed the plant again.

I had a feeling it was around that time for fading. They just suck the life from the lowers and I’m not exactly upset as long as it doesn’t spread to the tops.

It’s kinda like some human beings losing hair as they get older.

What’s the most effective way to remove brick and mortar dust off the plant? There’s some construction going on at my building :construction_worker_man:‍♂

It’s not powdery mildew. Though it looks so much like it. If the other plants weren’t coated in a fine dust I’d say it was.

In other news nothing has changed past rotating the pot through the day to take advantage of the sun’s position best.

So they’re growing nicely now  right as it gets rainy and misty/foggy outside. Seems to be a fan of late season growing. Hmmmm

Doing really well there!
Goes to show how amazingly well companion crops work. :green_heart:
Thank you for sharing this with the world!

The companion plants also benefit from the relationship and I regularly cut bunches of the sweet marjoram. It just won’t stop growing. The green onions on the other hand finally slowed down their growth. I’m more surprised to find out aloe was a good plant in the soil also. It was struggling before I put it in the soil. Afterwards it started to grow huge also. I was honestly worried the street light would stress out the plant more than anything though. So far it seems like the plant just loves it and grows some branches huge in response to the led light it gives off at night. So far the only problem is keeping it watered enough without waterlogging the soil.

Sitting the whole pot inside a plastic container that’s a little bit bigger than the pot works great for me. Slows down evaporation but still plenty of aeration.
And then you can just pour an inch of water into the container every day. :+1:

I struggle to find one big enough tbh. It can squeeze in a 25 gallon container, but I haven’t found anything round and the same diameter. I’ll have to keep an eye out. Despite watering issues killing leaves prematurely though I’m not having any other issues thankfully. My fiance mentioned how the plant is taller than she is now lolll

Companion plants only really make sense in an organic living soil setup without synthetic fertilizers though.

A hydro or coco setup doesn’t have all the different types of mycelium, bacteria and the thousands of other micro organisms in it required for companioncrops to work.
With synthetic nutes they’ll compete for synthetic nutrients and you’ll need to feed more, defeating the purpose of making it easy and carefree, which is what the mycelium does, because it feeds and regulates the entire soil.

It’s like a nervous system that also behaves like an intelligent living irrigation and fertilizer system, completely autonomous.

It’s an intelligent union of organisms that precedes mankind by billions of years and helped make life possible for us, it helped create the human race along with everything else that lives in and on this planet.

I’ve noticed if I don’t water every 2 days the plant loses leaves. Also she’s going purple :purple_heart: I use 70-75f water to water now. It barely leaves the pot after a pitcher of water. Some buds are trying to go red hair prematurely, but the every 2 days watering is letting them bulk up big time and keeping growth from aging too fast. So far it just bulked up today to where the buds are as big as last harvest

I’m also noticing watering a little bit every two days seems to be the sweet spot.

Oh i forgot to update lol. My sweet marjoram had previously been infested with aphids. I was Slightly worried about them spreading. Instead they all just suddenly died. I went to check on them and see how many were left. I did no sprays or treatments at all. They’ve all just dried up and become husks. Strange…

Cold shock maybe.

Trust that all is in balance and so it is.

Symbiosis is as old as life itself. Humans have been bad news for many species, but a blessing for others.
