New grow what's up

Actually cold shock makes sense. Once I started watering with warm water the leaf drop slowed down. It doesn’t stop the plant from shriveling the leaves to a crispy dryness. It at least allowed a color change across the buds. Would they still drink their own leaves if they were cold shocked and still drinking from the soil? I honestly assumed that cold shock meant no consumption and they usually died

I meant cold shock might be the cause of the aphids dying.
Lower leaves drying up will be combo of cold shock and limited root space.
All perfectly normal.

The limited root space makes way more sense to me. Though this plant never dropped leaves while stuck in the 1 gallon of soil for nearly 6 months. It hasn’t gotten below 40f here yet either. Plus I’m on the 3rd floor. With a fairly frequently used grill on the 2nd floor porch directly below the pot. Rootbound though I do strongly believe is happening now though still. This happens every time I grow thinking about it and it only gets fixed with a bigger pot.

Though I’m not investing in a pot bigger than 25G lol. Nope

It’s getting absolutely beautiful  the purple is spreading very fast now. This is easily my best grow to date

Temps are finally getting down to the low 30f range and it’s raining nearly every day now. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can protect my plant from the rain? I’m less concerned about Temps, but I’ll take temp suggestions too.

Inspect buds every day, or even twice a day, that’s all I got.

Double-Sided Tape to the Brickwork, attach Plastic, over the Plants, attach Double-Sided Tape to Railing, attach Plastic (Plastic goes from Brickwork, over Plants to Railing, to the Floor). You can open Ends during the Day to allow air flow. Only a suggestion, S/BW…mister :honeybee: :100:  :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I was considering using something like a transparent tarp also. I’m not that concerned about the railing though. The rain is only an issue from the wind. Plus with how bad the wind is fully sealing it would be a concern for me. I should have mentioned I get gale force winds here. Today I was watching my plant shake violently whacking against the railing. I believe I found clear shade netting once. It allowed at least 70% of light through it’s mesh. It would also allow wind through without popping off the wall. I just wish fighting the wind wasn’t an issue

Grab a bunch of rope and tie the bitch down.

The wind is in fact a good thing, dew and rain may evaporate faster.

It’s now below 32f/0c on average outside and the pot feels frozen down to the core. It seems to have stressed out the plant. I caught her with her leaves drooping again the day after watering.

How’s the trichromes look?
Time to harvest?

The trichomes I haven’t looked at. I’ll have to in the morning. The strain is cackleberry.

Trichomes look all cloudy white, so I could harvest now and be okay. That was a mid lower bud too.

If there’s no mold anywhere after thorough inspection then might as well leave it until some amber shows up or whenever you typically harvest.
It’s as you please.

Some Aghan farmers let it snow on their plants before harvesting.
Blessing from the sky.

Beautiful bud right there.

I’m not sure if the plant will live that long. It appears to be in plant death stage. It is officially older than a year now, so I’m not shocked.

Next year I’ll plant Ata better time and focus my efforts on a photo mainly. Apparently in my hands an auto also lasts 5-6 months somehow, so 🤷 I think I’m sticking to photos

I find water uptake to be a sure sign of pending senescence.

Do you mean lower or higher intake? I’ve noticed a trend myself that’s a mix. It starts out super thirsty and then it won’t drink anything in the soil and drains the leaves in order of age(oldest first).

It is the earliest sign I know.
The plant will transition from it’s regular amount to a lower level and it can happen before other physical changes. But I hand water…

I hand water also. I use a black plastic watering can. Not sure if micro plastics should be a concern, but meh it’s all i got. The plant is recovering as well as continuing to drink damaged leaves dry. The stems have started to become softer like veg again. The weight of the buds on some branches is too much and they try to point straight down. That’s all manageable though. I have plenty of zip ties to correct any stability issues.
