Fuuuu I wish I hadn’t gotten rid of my old photo lightbox, I gotta pick one up on Craigslist or a tag sale these are so crisp. Good Medicine looks frosty like you did it justice!
This is a cheap one from Amazon, does the job well for smaller things like nugs
Very nice looking medicine man. Can’t wait to read the smoke report.
Great shots my man @LegsMahoney!
I really need to step up my bud shot game. I’ve got a lot of stuff in jars I need to catch up on before they are gone lol
Here’s the link to the lightbox:

There are yo early probably better and cheaper ones, this one works fine enough but nothing impressive, this and an Olympus TG5 is all I got so I’m sure you can dial in some much nicer shots than me brother
That’s handy with the LEDs.
I have a smallish light box but it requires me to get out stands and set up strobes etc. which I just don’t have time or inclination to do at the end of the day.
This would be a hell of a lot more convenient!
Thanks for sharing!
No sweat dude, it is for sure convenient
Yeah, I need to get my photo game up for this, growing is getting me back into taking photos, which is what I majored in at college, photojournalism particularly, which seems not unrelated to documenting grows and projects. I have a decent old compact camera, 10mp with a big sensor (for the time) and a fast lens so I can actually get some natural depth of field bokeh. It’s this one, and I totally have a massively overkill Manfrotto tripod I’m gonna get out now that I think of it, because it has a side arm I think, which would get me into the tent over the plants, hmm…
I’m also gonna bite the bullet this winter and get a USB/wireless digital microscope, they’ve gotten so good!
Man @Dirt_Wizard I’ve been thinking about that USB microscope too! As far as the camera goes I took some photo classes in college and frequently work with photographers in my 9-5 (I’m a graphic designer) but for some reason the finer points of the medium ne er stuck, that plus the huge price tag has kept me at the point and shoot level. The TG5 is pretty nice for outdoor stuff with good light but struggled for a while indoors, I recently bought the little ring light/diffuser attachement for the front at the suggestion of another member here and feel like that’ll do well for tent shots to fill in the shots we’ll enough that they won’t look too budget. As far as photography goes I know the finer point from an academic and work-related standpoint, but when it comes to taking shots myself it just feels like a field too far, but I’m getting to the point of being dangerous with a lens inside my grow tents hahaha
Ring lights are incredible for macro detail work, and portraiture too. The even light really makes things look smooth and evenly toned in a way that’s pretty unique, I have been thinking of getting either a ring flash attachment or one of those nice high CRI makeup lights that’s a big ring to use for shooting through the middle of, though I should try using an old video light I have that’s one of those big blocks of LEDs like 120 of them. My plant shots are fine with my phone and I can do good macro tricks with that old 50mm manual lens but my mid-macro budshots are trash and I want to work on that. I also need to get a new phone soon and I’m definitely prioritizing a good camera module over most other stuff, that’s the thing I really care about besides battery life. I just gotta do some research and find out which ones actually have killer lenses and sensors and which ones are doing that AI enhancement on blah hardware. I’m getting old, I guess, I like auto settings on cameras just fine much of the time, but post-production editing is my job not the camera, even if I do it in a computer now instead of a wet darkroom. That’s how the snapshot becomes my photograph, to me at least.
Your shots are looking great man!
Sampled the GM5 tonight, and damn am I pleased. The effects are as nice as the last batch of not a little bit more pronounced and the proof of the quality is in the bowl when it’s all said and done:
Very thankful I was able to get this plant dialed in a little better and have full jars for a little while
Such a good feeling, cheers to abundance!
Thanks bro, your totally right, no better feeling than being happy with that first bowl knowing how much more is waiting for you!
In totally unrelated news I went and picked up a sheet of plexiglass today to round out my dry sift setup, decided to sift some outdoor Grape Kush that’s been in the freezer for a couple years and holy fuck did it dump:
Looks like some nice farmers grade sift, probably press it sometime later and roll it into a nice temple ball to put up and age, trying to figure which I like better here; the dry sift, or bubble hash. Results to come
Holy sh*t. LOL
how much did you sift?
i dont know for weight but it was like a 2/3 full gallon freezer bag. i scoped it with a loupe too and while its not the cleanest sift, it is primarily heads. so…fucking A! haha
Now that’s a pull! Looks like that goes on the list for strains to try sifting, let us know how it smokes if you take a little bit!
Hahaaa you said “if”
oh this bad boy will take me a while to get through, i like to let the balls age for a while (haha, balls) before cracking into em, but ill post a picture after pressing/rolling too
