If thats same as aka Cherry Queen (I think) then yea. First time flowering them. Mine are rounded naturally if left untouched. Got 1 monster, and a few around 4-5ft.
If CQ isnt same line as omg than sorry, my bad.

I miss old school ak-47. its been worked in diff directions from what i remember, as it won indica and sativa cups in A-Dam. who knows now…
i bought ak-47 flower from BC mail order that just kicked my ass before.
surprised I dont see it around much anymore. enjoyable high, i found.
Kevin Jodrey says the real deal high cbd stuff is in Pakistan lines. Hard to access Paki tho w/o someone in the know in Pakistan.
Afghan should carry high cbd too if from similar regions.
Id try to look for 2 separate Afghani lines that soldiers brought back from Afghanistan myself. Find 2 diff lines and hit em up.
Just a thought.
cheers
I hadn’t heard that Paki lines were higher CBD, but all indigenous Central Asian landraces, if in there original form, unworked by Westerners, will have CBD phenos. Same all the way west to Lebanon, and East through the Himalayas. The highest CBD % I’ve read on was Lebanese at 17%, though I dont doubt that Paki lines can be high as well.
Who is Kevin Jodrey?
So, THIS is how Bodhi seeds work then? These are all Bodhi releases? Separate websites, or what? Thanks for that info. Its confusing for someone new to Bodhi. I’ve never been able to find his landraces.
Not yet but I just got some, and have one seed going now. So will have some reports soon.
would both be great preservations!
They usually go fast. Sometimes he offers them as a freebie added on to another strain. I’ve bought a strain just to get the freebie! If you watch Bodhi drops at Great Lakes Genetics you can sometimes see when things are coming. I have not seen GLG here yet? Maybe we can get them over.
I would totally be down with that!! I’ve gotta check my stock, but I think I’ve got about the same (3-5 seeds). But why settle for 3-5 when we could have 300-500…amirite
It is definitely somewhat confusing. They are usually all sold under the bodhi category on seed bank websites, but there will be different packaging, labeling, and branding for each of these imprints.
His landraces are all very limited releases, so they mostly end up in the hands of the baseball card collectors, and never get grown out. I tend to see these packs in photos of huge collections, but never live plants.
No offense to anyone, but if you have some neirika seeds waiting in the collection, you bet I’m trying to light a fire under your ass to pop and preserve those.
Bodhi doesn’t necessarily hold on to these genetics after he releases them, and has specifically stated he is depending on the community to preserve these.
lols, oh man you are missing out. throw his name in the search bar on You Tube. Kev is next level in cannabis. All aspects of the business. Thank me later lol.
FACTS @Solowolf facts… Ive watched all of his You Tube stuff at least twice over. Kev can be caught live sometimes on the “Future Cannabis Project” channel on YT.
Maple Leaf indica update-
2 days in, and I’m seeing at least 4 tap roots. Looking good.
Tomorrow morning I will plant all the ones that have sprouted, and any remaining will soak for a few more days.
My germ method is modification / simplification of a very creative method used by @DanzaKuduro. You can check out their method on their grow log.
My version is simplified to a 2 step process.
Sterilize a shotglass with a tiny bit of rubbing alcohol, and rinse with hot water.
Start your seeds by floating them on the surface of a shotglass filled with tap water and a few drops of lactobacillus serum, aka a little bit of whey separated from some probiotic nancy’s yogurt.
You only need a few drops, just enough that you can see a slight change in color or opacity of the water. This will act as an inoculant, and the probiotic bacteria will eat any contaminants on the surface of the seeds.
Let the seeds soak undisturbed for 2 days. Plant if ready.
If not, sanitize a small spoon, and a second shot glass with rubbing alcohol. Rinse with hot water.
Fill the second shot glass with water and a couple drops of hydrogen peroxide.
Use the sanitized spoon to gently lift out the seeds from their inoculated water without breaking the surface tension.
Gently float the seeds on the surface of the fresh shotglass with water and hydrogen peroxide.
Let them soak for 2 days, or until ready to plant.
At this point, you can continue to alternate between inoculated lactobacillus water, and hydrogen peroxide solution water every 2 days. This will give weak seeds a fighting chance, and they can survive without damage in these soaks longer than they could in soil or plain water.
@OleReynard, do you have any info on the background of the maple leaf strain? I did a lot of research before buying these, but all I could really find out was:
that this was sensi’s only indica line that remained pure, and was consistently the same throughout the 90’s and 2000’s with no indication of alteration or hybridization.
that there were some older medical growers who swore by the stuff.
that it has a fresh lemon citrus type smell.
and aside from that, just the description from sensi, which has been rewritten since I bought these.
I got these because I heard they were a good representation of classic 70’s afghani that was used for hash production and export.
That is a cool idea. The lbs kills off any bacteria that couple hurt the seedling, and the hydrogen peroxide fights any fungus. Another use for my lbs, thanks for that!! I take it this is good for older seeds?
