6 x Ender 3 Pros
2 x Ender 3 Pros w/ 400x400 “ender extender” kits
2 x AM8’s (Anet A8 modified with metal chasis)
1 x Zonestar dual color
1 x Mars resin printer
1 x Bambu P1S w/ 2 AMS units (8 color printing)
The Bambu is freaking PHENOMINAL… Costs a bit more than the enders, but WORTH IT IN EVERY WAY
Yeah I also run a small print farm here selling stuff on ebay
To be honest… Enders are a great starting point. They are far from perfect, but what you learn on an Ender will go with you if you upgrade to better printers. They make for a good foundation of knowledge. The Bambus are literally almost too smart. Sure, they can print perfectly 15 mins after taking it out of the box, but you don’t know WHY. An Ender is a solid enough printer it will work. There may be a learning curve (setting Z height / offset for example) but that knowledge IS important. A bambu will do that for youy, but $699 for my bambu, or $99 for a Microcenter coupon ender 3, well, they are vastly different machines. But going thru those learning curves on an Ender will prepare you for most any other printer you upgrade to. This is not a bash on the Ender, nor a push for the Bambu (clearly I own both), but man, I wish more current Bambu owners started on an Ender or similar. They expect “press print and it does it”, BUT there IS tweaking on an Ender (and you’ll appreciate how the bambu handles it later, AND know how and what is happening) vs. just “I buy and it just works”…
I just wish Ender would stop re-hashing printers. How many versions of an Ender 3 can you make? LOL. Still a solid printer (do yourself a favor and DONT even look at something like an anet a8, or a “craft store” 3d printer like kodak or other brands you might think would be good. Ender is in the top of its class in entry level printers…
Its wild that I can think of something, and be holding it 3 hours later though
Look… But cut your teeth on the Ender first… THEN do the upgrade. You’ll have a better understanding if you are successful with prints on a stock ender first (and honestly, the only printed upgrade thats worth it is a filament guide really, everything else causes issues one way or another, only my FIRST ender got printed upgrades, then I learned. The rest of them are stock (or BTT mini e-3 main boards at best) and the two with EE kits. They just work perfectly fine stock when you get it setup right. The larger bed will require firmware flashing, and simple mods / swapping EE parts, but dialing in a 400x400 bed is harder than dialing in a 235x235 bed. I DO have BL touch’s installed on them to make bed levelling easier. But those are the only ones. (and you still have to tram the bed regardless).
I have high recommendations for the guys at Ender Extender as well. They make a good kit, and stand by it. I even ordered a ender 3 regular kit, got a E3 Pro, emailed them to switch, which they confirmed, but then I received my kit for the E3 regular (different Y beam, 2020 vs 4040), and they immediately sent me out the correct one for the E3 Pro. Good company, and I would purchase from them again for sure.
You’ve gotta check what ddr # the ram is that you have in the system currently as the different #'s are not interchangeable, as they are physically different sizes/pin count
so I have a PC, if i see this in the product description " Laptop Notebook PC Computer Memory RAM Module Upgrade" does that mean the memory will fit regardless if i have laptop, note book or PC cause I though laptops had smaller versions of the same parts that are found in p.c or something?
