looking great man!!!
Thank you, it has been a fun year of growing. 2024, growing OG genetics looks to be an even better year.
I noticed I added a few photos of my creation in the Chocolate Funk photos in yesterday’s update. After removing the fan leaves the lower branches with the added light have had a lot of new growth.
The main stalk is rather large on these plants for their age. I like the structure of these plants/ With little to no training other than removing fan leaves and pinching the top, I think I can get a flat even top.
Fat Albert x Chocolate Funk F3 pollen.
The Evercrips and Papaya Cake are doing good. I was paranoid after getting mildew and mold on some of my plants so I cut off leaves like there was no tomorrow. I feel this may have made the buds smaller than they should be at this point. They are nice and frosty and a little sticky if you brush up against them. The lone Chocolate Funk Female in the tent is starting to form bud sites.
The Blueberry Diesel are doing great. They have a nice strong stem rub smell for their age. I had an accident with the Pine Apple. I knocked two of them off the shelf tearing most of their roots off. They arent fully dead yet.
The two Fat Albert x Chocolate Diesel couldnt be more different looking. I think I like the one with all the branching over the long-limbed branches. Ok stem rub, not nearly as strong as the blueberry diesel. Both plants have thick woody main stalks. You wont be able to bend and tie these plants down. They also both get windburn easily. None of the other plants I have growing have a problem with the fan.
The Chocolate Funk Male and Female have reached the limits of their three-gallon pots. Their leaves are starting to lighten and growth has slowed.
The Tropaya plant is doing good. I will move this one into the flower tent when I harvest the Evercrisp and Papaya Cake. Groups shot of the Blueberry Diesel and Fat Albert x Chocolate Diesel.
I am changing my soil recipe up some, I am dropping Epsom Salt and Bat Guano(too nasty) and replacing them with Langbeinite and Soybean Meal.
I add the following Amendments to 2 cubic feet of base soil and aeration and let cook for 8+ weeks
1 Cup of the following Meals Soybean, Alfalfa, Neem, and Kelp
2 cups Oystershell flour/powder
3 cups Rock Dust
1/2 cup Langbeinite
1+ cups Diatomaceous Earth, the more the better I figure I can get crazy with the stuff.
1/2 cup BSF Frass
4 to 5 cups of worm castings(Double or more for 10+ week flowering plants)
My new procedures for keeping plants and my grow area clean will include using Danolyte to disinfect and clean and as a treatment for mildew, molds, and fungus. I have also added @JohnnyPotseed concentrated MTA to my arsenal to annihilate soft-bodied insects.
I am going to change up my grow schedule for next year. Once I clear out what I have I am going to try and make a seed run with Mass Medical Lambnesia(Amnesia Haze x 90s Lambsbread). I have a five-pack of regular seeds. I bought those seeds and Bodhi Lemon Afghani. I am also interested in the mother of berries Copa freebie. I have no idea what the JR-77 cut or GSD could be.
Day 43 Since flip, the first 21 days I slowly reduced the amount of light from 12 to 10 hours a day. The Papaya Cake buds are putting on weight and the branches are hanging low. It has a sweet smell with a hint of fruit. The smell peaked a week ago and has started to fade some. The Evercrisp is doing well and is putting on the frost. The smell isnt much to speak of on this plant. The Chocolate Funk is growing nicely and the bud sites are growing.
Two Pine Apples perished, down to two plants. To replace my recent losses 2 Frankenstien and a White Rhino from @JohnnyPotseed have made an appearance.
Fat Albert x Chocolate Diesel Both plants are doing great. The stem rub is piney and make my mouth water. It isnt as powerful as the Blueberry Diesel or Pine Apple smell.
Great job. The papaya cake just keeps calling out to me . How much does lowering light hours speed finishing up for you?
I dont know if it is speeding up the finish, I have never grown these strains before. I turned up the intensity to compensate for the loss of time. I know the plants are not as stressed as my previous grows. The tops would wither, brown, turn lime green, or bleach out under twelve hours of light. Under ten hours of light, these plants have stayed a nice healthy green except for burnt tips.
I will be chopping the Papaya Cake by next Sunday. The trichomes are more than half cloudy white with an even mix of clear and amber. The Evercrisp is mostly clear with just a few cloudy and fewer amber.
Papaya Cake is on the right side with most of the branches bending down.
My upcoming lineup Frankensteins, White Rhino, Pine Apple, Blueberry Diesel, and Fat Albert x Chocolate Diesel
Sounds like a tasty lineup you have.
I have a pack of 8th Avenue Genetics E.C. Puck (ECSD s1 Dr. Greenthumb x Puck HP BC3-C&C) to add to the Bodhi packs I have of Sour Diesel Chaco Cut x 88G13HP, Sour Diesel JP Cut X 88G13HP and Ultra Sour Double Diesel x 88G13HP
I was thinking of combining these genetics. (E.C. Puck x Sour Diesel JP cut/hp) x ( Sour Diesel Chaco Cut/hp x Ultra Sour Double Diesel/hp)
It has been 51 days since I started flowering the Papaya Cake and Evercrisp. Papaya Cake information I found says it is a 49-57 day flowering strain. Evercrisp is a 56-65 day flowering strain.
Papaya Cake will be coming down this week. I am hoping it is a good Christmas smoke.
Neptune has a decent selection of seeds that are 70% off. I purchased a pack of seeds bred by MTG Seeds. The name was listed as 369, Lineage: Durban Poison x Turbo Diesel. That would make the strain Durban Turbo, I have no idea why it was listed as 369.
The city increased the chlorine/chemicals in the water, because of a water main break, before I knew about them doing that. I watered and it messed up my plants. I had to harvest the Evercrisp 10-15 days early, the chocolate funk in flower may die, and the two chocolate funk plants I take clones from nearly died. I will post pictures later.
That’s horrible! Sorry to hear that
The leaves continued to deteriorate so I decided to chop the chocolate funk down and start over. I have another clone starting to root. I am now sexing plants before I transplant them for flowering. So far one Blueberry diesel has joined his ancestors. I have three more blueberry diesel plants, two Pine Apple from Bodhi, and two of my creations of Fat Albert x Chocolate Diesel F3 to sex and get ready for flower.
Two Frankenstein and the White Runtz are doing fantastic.
I cut out another blueberry diesel male, down to two plants. Both of the Fat Albert x Chocolate Diesel F3 are females, I transplanted them into five-gallon fabric pots. I moved them under the veg light and will let them grow until mid-December then I will move them into the flower tent. I moved the two Pine Apple into the flower tent to sex them before transplanting.
The male chocolate funk clone has rooted and is now in a nursery bag. I am waiting on the female clone to make the first roots.
I transplanted the first Frankenstein by @JohnnyPotseed into a five-gallon fabric pot. I will let in root for a while before she goes into the flower tent.
The plant is a little dusty and dirty after transplanting.
If you have a circle saw or a grinder you can get a wheel from canadian tire or your local hardware store there about 3.00 to 5.00 each you only need one
looking great bro! she will sure became a beast in the future!
I dropped the five Lambnesia seeds by Mass Medical in a shot glass of water after lightly sanding them with super fine sandpaper.
I picked up a 5-pack of Docs Dank Seeds Sherlocks Gift for $20 shipped.
Bummer about the water Semo, have you thought about installing a filter for under the sink? We got a plumber to install one going to the fridge water dispenser. Filters the crap out and the plants love it too
