I have to say i was always a believer and practitioner of 24hr light for veg indoors. This is the first time i elected to do a 20/4 cylce and i have to say the growth rate is superb, seriosly considering 18/6 for my next veg run.

Alot of first tries on this grow for me.Seeing big positive results.
The feed from tuesday morning should be in them now.excited to see what they be like after sleep today

I am also leaning towards flipping them as soon as they start alternating branches given there growth already for 22days from seed soak. Will remove males and take 2 cuttings from each female after the 2 week stretch…they always say from seed expect half to be male.Got a bad feeling this will not be the case.Gonna be some serious bondage going on in that tent,me thinks.

Wednesday will be a chilled relaxed one.Thursday will get at clearing out that 6x6x8 closet…And dam if i did not blow through those 6 85l bags of promix premium pot mix,so be another trip to buy up as many bags as i can find at CanTire,HomeDepot,Lowes,Rona.Gonna need for the winter and it gets harder to find at this time of year.

The plants seems to do better with a little “dark time”.
From what I’ve read, there are some processes that run during the light period and some processes that run during the dark.
I was normally running 18/6 but ran 20/4 on the last and there seemed to be a marginal improvement. I have tried 24/0 with an auto grow before and they weren’t quite as ‘happy’ as 20/4. I expect that light intensities will ‘fiddle’ those numbers a bit.
Once I get the new light up I’ll probably drop back to 18/6 until I’m familiar with the plant’s response.

Cheers

hey @SmknCanuck, lookin’ good! They’re coming on fast it looks like. Lovin’ life.
Looks like a mostly wide leaf population? should find a nice couple of keepers out of that bunch no doubt.
Cant wait to see the final results.

Looking great Smkn! Amazing that even away from our hobby and passion for years, our minds were still working on solutions/improvements. My components starting to arrive for new GR:)!

The off time is very important for the plants growing cycle I fine 24/0 great for autos
Myself I personally prefer 18/6 from the beginning
Great show I wish I had that kind of space available but I’d be divorced by now lol :joy:
Paps

Hey @Sasquatch nice to see you again. Its like riding a bike you never forget i am always trying to think up new things and open to new ideas and concepts. Its how we grow as growers.Striving to be the best.

Hey @Papalag nice to see you again and thanks for popping in…I agree with you about the autos. My only thought or concern about 18/6 would be if it takes longer to start flowering when flipping to12/12…For now 20/4 is working and i am open to trying 18/6 next run… I am divorced and single and staying that way now.I can use what ever areas and closets i want

Well will be posting first pics of the auto N.L prep to grow later this afternoon.

Have a great day all!

So here we go.Beautiful tails on the 2 auto fem N.L thanks again @Gpaw

The fabric dollar store bags i thought were about 3gal are definitely 5 to 6gal,doubled the bag at a cost of 50cents for a 5gal pot, cannot go wrong if it works .Filled the bag 85% of the way with the promix premium potting mix, then filled the rest with promix seedling mix to let the seeds start.I used 2 large poly bags one for the fabric bag to sit in for when watering, then roll it down.Used the 2nd poly bag with a few vent holes cut in it for a ghetto humidome to let the seedlings start.

I also used a mylar reflective windshield cover around them to reflect more light around them.Under a 1000w LED to start until they grow and can join the rest.

Will update tent picks tonight. The plants are loving the addition of the1000w hps into the mix.I have to spread out the OH,HC,MWCB and some of the other larger broad ones as they are just exploding.

Checked and the SourTangie cuttings are tossing out mini roots too.By day 7 should have a nice root mass to go in dirt.
