Then i got csi humbolts pure bred and triangle x pure og kush. I also have archives flavour pack and designer og. And raw genetics pur kush. I got mgts prezidential kush. And i got bodhis hollyweed and solo stash. Meangenes sky cuddler and lime1. and green fires strawberry lemonade. Has some in there but the rest are all hollywood crosses.

The hpk tasted just like it smelled. But yeah the grower had alot to do with the quality i had the first time. The second time was alright but not nearly as impressive. The second time i picked it up it was called 91 hpk.

The only ‘91 HPK I’ve ever heard of was from that dispensary Green Angel/MMRC, the one that was in Malibu, then Sherman Oaks, then down on Sepulveda and Wilshire and then back to Sherman Oaks haha. I haven’t been in years, but they used to have all kinds of “‘91” strains. ‘91 HPK, ‘91 Pure, ‘91 Topanga blahblahblah etc etc. I think they even had a ‘91 Green Crack for a while.

On their website now, it says,”We have the original 1991 classic strains you love,” but when I asked them about that ‘91 designation like twelve years ago, they said it just meant that those strains were all grown by the same person, as opposed to the non-‘91 strains they had.

In other words, it’s all bullshit haha. There isn’t any ‘91 HPK cut. There’s just HPK.

What do you mean?

Pretty much. Not so much lime. More like a kushy lucky charms with maybe a bit of lime. No lemon. Its a deep flavor that puts a sweetness on the tip of you tongue and coats your mouth with a kush candy lucky charms marshmellow taste maybe a bit of lime in there. And stays tasty till the last hit. Ive only had a few strains that taste so saturated with flavor in that way. The rootbeer being one and thats a pk cross. Than i had this headchez from Hazeman. I had a couple plants going just to check them out and one came out with glittering trichomes and the taste was a saturated candy berry. The sweetness on the tip of my tongue and the lasting flavor. I wish i had took a cut. But i have more seeds. I wasn’t expecting it to be so good.

Where would you obtain an LAPK male?

Hazeman seeds sells LAPK f2s. Theres males in there. LAPK is not a cut. You can get seeds of it. The other four are cuts and you cant really get seeds of them. S1s might be close but the only way your getting the suge the malibu the topanga and the Hollywood is by clone. Remember to always label your s1s as s1s because they are not the same as the cut. Only maybe close. It can cause confusion.

I have never heard LAPK be referred to as a seedline. Who bred it?

Really, did it take him 3 and 1/2 hours to claim that??? :boom:

Those were $50 per seed?? Woah. I thought Strayfox was cool and charged $50ish per pack. He’s a tool if he charged that and I have no interest in his gear.

I found an old post once where someone asked Hazeman about his LAPK and he described it as a BX4 of Hollywood, dunno what to but my guess is Hindu Kush since he keeps a seedline of that. I grew it, it was nice, colored in very strongly at the end without getting crispy, rock hard little nugs of marshmallow lime creaminess with the kushy odor left in the room, I have more to grow out in the future.

It has been interesting and frustrating to watch things evolve into what they have become in regards to the many different conflicting theories around the plants that became popular in or originated in los Angela’s.
I was most familiar with what was just labeled as kush , then og kush and bubba kush became a thing, I have the original bubba kush and it will fade like you describe the suge depending on the growing conditions , I ran the socal master kush a lot and miss it and still grow the ghost og from time to time, I have a different cut that came out of los Angela’s around 2002 that has gone by a few different names and has some mystery behind it , it’s been so many years with so many s1s and various peoples creations added to the mix it’s hard to pin down who really has what , some are easy to spot while others have many look a-likes and close relatives being confused or intentionally passed off as something they are not.

Yeah. They tend to forget to label it s1. Theres usually nothing like the cut. Not to say you cant find something awesome. But its still different. People do what they gotta do. Strike while the iron is hot. Just like every bandwagon or wave that comes thru the industry. Its still cool tho. Just makes the hunt alittle more interest. Theres still so much good stuff waiting to be found and become the next big thing.

A lot of amazing strains that could and should be the next big thing never get discovered because there in the hands of somebody tucked away in there own little corner of the world just growing and smoking. The way the industry has evolved fewer and fewer people dictate what is grown and pushed to the masses.
If you grow from seed you will find a lot of trash and mediocre plants but then there are those gems that show up every so often that make it worth the hunt.

Hola,

Has anyone gotten Shamus’ vault?
He had some real magic, and rare stuff at that. Would be a shame if it all got lost to time and tragedy.

I myself am starting to make a baggie of backups of my stuff to send to someone.

Rest Well, Buddy
