Tents full of happiness and love ft. Bodhi and friends

I would suggest buying a different light. Mars Hydro is to be avoided due to being generally low quality and not honoring their warranties, as @iamyou_youareme indicated.

For the money, there are a LOT better options, especially in the UK.

Yeah I picked this up cause know they work. There not best option when I first started using them about 5 years ago but I had to replace with no money, so skipped buying it directly cause was 30% cheaper and it’s a stop gap.
Have seen couple things on market that I’d buy but got to balance spending on Chuck ability

Yeah, like I said, it’s kind of dumb. The dimmer is one of the holes on the BOTTOM of the driver. You have to remove the driver from the light, four tiny screws, then flip it over and remove the rubber cover to the potentiometer, which you can adjust with a small Phillips head screw driver. I just took my driver off completely and left it outside the tent.

Like nube said, though, if you can afford a new light, there’s way better options. Not saying it won’t work, but if it fails, then you just gotta buy another one, cuz they definitely aren’t going to send you anything for free. Mine is still working, for now…

Yeah doubt I need dimmer anyways. Yeah I’m well aware I’m buying a unit that if it goes wrong that’s it. And I took into consideration also that it’s a stop gap and at sometime when my pocket is fatter I’ll be overhauling them. Yeah I didn’t buy directly from Mars for the reason they ain’t gonna give me shit diddly squat if it goes wrong. It was £150 at Mars I picked it up for £100

Yeah I hear ya, and not a bad deal, and if you don’t expect support, then you’re good. Hope you can get a couple good harvest out of it. What plants are you running now?

I’m running frosted cobra from Sam at baked beanz and also his cake crasher x WiFi. The frosted cobra is really good. They are for sale and the the picture he uses is from one of my grows, in fact not sure why he chose that picture wasn’t my best. And I’m not sure the cake crasher x WiFi has been released yet? The breeder was nice enough to give me quite a few seeds as I did a favour. I run bodhi and think he’s one of the best but not running anything at moment from him but have some mountain temple and bingo pajama in fridge.
Funnily enough the Mars 192 I ran is by far best light left in my tent now the mehzi 1200 is deceased and it’s the oldest light in tent . But the Mars 11 400 has not been used much at all.

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. A bird in hand is worth two in the bush. Etc. Also, you can grow decent weed under candlelight. It is a weed, after all. It’s more the strain and grower than the light. However, if you haven’t bought it or received it yet, there’s still time to get a better light for the same price or less…

I’m still using an old DIY fixture I built 6yrs ago for veg lights and it’s doing great! It ain’t the 65% efficient of today, but still about 50% efficient which is good enough in my book. Better than 2021 Mars Hydro. Use what you got but make a more informed decision next time. A little research will get you twice the light for the same or less than what you got last time.

Spider Farmer is a decent place to start. Same price points as Mars Hydro but higher build quality, efficiency and light output. If you’re even slightly handy with a couple tools, you can build something easy and get top of the line for 70 cents on the dollar compared to retail.

This is the way… I gave up a bunch of my tools in the move, and I’m being kinda lazy. So if you have the tools and are handy, go this route. Nube has a great thread on his design, plus there is another lengthy one here on OG.

Mehzi are now called spider farmer

Not a chance I can grow weed I’ve grown indoors for quite a few years and have nearly 10 years experience gorilla growing, but the technology I’m shit with. See a decent priced light other day from one of the more familiar lighting firms I’ll have a look sometime

I guess it’s time for another update…

Here’s how the 4x4 is looking.

I added a fan underneath canopy blowing up, setup the AC infinity to keep around 62% RH during lights on, also running dehuy during the day and full blast at night. Night time RH levels drop to about 54% RH, which is about the lowest I can get it without opening the tent flaps. Not sure if AC Infinity updated their app or what, but I can now set a minimum fan speed (Off) and maximum (On), also can do multiple automations now, so you can setup different settings for different times of the day. Pretty neat.

The boxes are consuming about a gallon of water a day, so they’re sucking it down. Lot of times I’ll wake up to find the res in the smaller ones sucked dry in a day. It’s a good thing I guess, all the water cycling.

One improvement I would make to the city pickers, is the cover that goes over the top is too porous and has too much airflow. There’s no condensation that collects on the top of the covers or anything. I think next round I’m just gonna use black plastic garbage bags, or maybe line the existing covers with plastic in some spots. I’ve noticed the area that I have covered with a piece of test plastic in the Blueberry box is bursting with roots and lots of worms castings, so it seems that’s where all the action is happening.

Also I think the small boxes are just slightly too small to run the size of plants that I have in them. Maybe if I flipped them sooner, they wouldn’t have run out of root space. It could be that my mix just isn’t dialed in enough, as well. Anyways, enough of my rambling… everyone like pics, right?!

Here’s the crazy GG4… all you MFers out there that have run this one didn’t warn me about the stretch!! Haha, just kidding… I should have done more research and run both the bigger boxes in the back, so I would have had better access to the smaller plants.

Here’s the Blueberry… smelling like blueberries now!

There’s the Triangle Kush x Purple Urkle - really like how this one is shaping up.

Then the unhappy Rudeboi in the corner.

The Tranquil Elephantizer F2 - HP pheno lookin’ about done at day 52

Full plant -

This is the one that is really smelly, astringent kinda burns your nose. My girl came back after her acupuncture appointment and I had been moving this plant around for pictures. She said she could smell it out in front of the house. I don’t know how else to describe beyond funky hashy BO. Looks like it could go little while longer.

And this is the red leaf one - smells like an old convenience store to me, like stale candy with an old slurpie machine in the corner. Not super loud, but that what she reminds me of.

They’re fading pretty quick so looks like they’re ready to be done. Have the light as high as it will go and they’re just crusin’ for little while now. I’ll bring the HP one down before too long here. Looking forward to having a beer and sesh with that one…

Y’all take care out there, it’s a crazy world!

Wtf :flushed: lol such an interesting smell.
But seriously, I love your smell descriptions and although everything looks nice, that TER F2 looks amazing! :green_heart:

When I put power back to my grow space, I’ll have to check that out.

Earlier this year, I spoke with AC Infinity’s customer service about a few things and they offered to pass along some of my comments to their devs/engineers. One of my requests was to allow multiple automations that can take effect during different times (lights on = automation 1, lights off = automation 2). Maybe they got enough requests for that to get done.

I would pay extra for that capability.

They must’ve heard you, because now on the Controller 67, at least, you can setup multiple Automations, but I don’t think they can overlap. So during daytime I have mine set to AUTO, with min off speed of 1, and a max speed of 7. Which seems to be able to keep the tent around 60%RH now that I’m running a dehuy. At 10 minutes before lights off, I have an Automation setup to run the fan at full 7 speed, until right before lights on, so for 12 hours basically. Then goes back to normal AUTO setting. However, you could setup multiple Automations now, that change between the modes, ON, OFF, CYCLE, or Temp and RH settings, depending on the time off day.

I’m really glad they listened and added this feature, cause it adds a lot of functionality to the controller.

Edit: Plus I like to be able to monitor the lights off temps and RH through the graphs, plus you could export to csv… if you wanted to get real fancy and do something more with the data.

Okay, I just ordered a controller 67 in that case. Having different day/night settings us something I’ve been wanting for a while now.

Edit: I also ordered a Niwa grow hub for my lung room. Merry Christmas to me I guess.

X-mas comes early! The controller 67 is pretty reasonable upgrade for $50 at least, plus you’ll get new temp/RH sensor with it.

The NIWA looks cool, I’ve been scoping it on the BAS videos. It’d be nice with blumats, I think you could hook it up to a pump to refill the res when you wanted, along with all the other cool stuff it can do.

I basically want the Niwa to set day/night temps and humidity in the lung room. It is the cheapest option for that. It being an IOT device adds to the benefit. I’ll have AC, Heater, Dehumidifier, and Humidifier hooked up to this.

Just don’t melt the plugs like Jeremy

It is nice to be able to control everything thru IOT devices, as there’s definitely stuff I forget to do and would like to be able to log on and force it to happen, or adjust stuff when needed.

Wish the Controller 67 had more than bluetooth connectivity…
