Tim’s first Vietnamese black grow

image Hello, I’m a fairly new grower and i want to start growing landrace strains.

I plan on using foxfarm soil and my 2x4 tent because it’s my tallest.

Vietnamese black is first on my list.

ANY SUGGESTIONS OR ADVICE WILL BE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.

I would suggest using the search feature and type in land races. Plenty to read.

Where are you located? VB likes HOT/HUMID conditions, gotta stay on top of it as NOT too resistant to pests, mildew, mold. I would advise sierranaturalscience.com (BOTH SN209 and 244C). It is NOT Black, more a deep Blue/Green color to foliage. Will “stretch” in growth, probably looking at 14 - 16 weeks. Good Luck in your endeavor, I’m sure it will be successful. Remember, OG can be your “Hotline!!” Continue to stay safe, take care, don’t get discouraged, and be well…mister :honeybee: :100:  :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

You are going to be bending and trimming and supercropping and swearing.

But it’ll be fun :+1:

Lol I’ve had them for almost a year and I’ve been honing my skills. My biggest anxiety is popping the seeds. I heard highland sativas have hard shells

I’m in southeast Michigan but I’m going to run them in a tent. Because of AC in the house I might have trouble staying above 70/75. I really appreciate knowing I can ask questions, thanks a million

I’m most nervous about germination. I always just germinate right in the soil. Going to try 24 hour soak in aloe water followed by the paper towel method.

Oh man thanks. I’ve been watching Aladdin at Khalifa genetics but other than that it’s hard to find specific info like this

Same here!

I run a humidifier year round in the tent. During summer because of AC, During winter because of the furnace.

I would definitely run them on 12/12 from seed through flower, and use a lot of LST (low stress training). My guess is they will take about 6 months.
