You post, $1 is donated per OG to OverGrow

We are all unique, each of us are all walking the same path. The search is constant, thirst for knowledge always takes time to quench. Every OG contributes to the community by being a member, we support each other every day and celebrate success together constantly.

I’m not growing, smoking medical cannabis from the exspencery and focusing on family. Economically speaking, everything is bad, getting worse and my current view is that it will take many years for things to get better for any human to live instead of just surviving. I am working on a story where a small group of people find the OverGrow server 420 years from now after the self inflicted mass extinction of the human race. They use the knowledge found to grow organic, hydroponic, food and medicine, changing the coarse of humanity…

What is the future of the OverGrow community? The same for all of us, unknown.

Do you give a buck? You post using your most precious resource… personal time. It turns into support for the OverGrow community to continue moving forward. To the 74 OG’s that have already supported this fundraiser, your donation has been made. Thank you. Your stories of living, caring, sharing, growing and giving, helps us all understand what it means to be alive.

Thanks for doing this @Heliosphear
What a unique way of contributing and making us all feel a little part of the spirit of OG.

First tried my hand at growing about 12 years ago it didn’t go bad but didnt go great. got more serious into it when it got legal up here in Canada unfortunately my garden is a mirror image of my health lol some days are good some days are better. This place has been a great source of information and encouragement not just for growing but life as well. peace, love and happiness my friends.

Thank you for your generosity @Heliosphear

I am not sure how I missed this post, but here we are!
I am still fairly green in terms of cultivation but have been really fascinated by how each member on here that has imparted knowledge has their own unique spin on techniques best practices. This place is so full of knowledge, and it holds a special place for me, because it was somewhere where no matter what time of day or night, especially in the dead of winter when I was up with my wife and newborn, I could find someone on here giving away knowledge and seeds.

I am so glad I found this place, and am thankful for everyone on here!

positive vibes all around

Hey OGrs,
Awesome of you @Heliosphear for putting this together. Its been a joy to read.
I am new to OG and so far appreciate the community.

My journey started in high school botany. I would put bag seeds in my planters and try tramsport out-doors. It never worked for me. From there i tried several closet grows. I wish i had dome of those seeds back.
Fast forward a few years and an autoimmune desease caused me to stop smoking. I would get seizures from the pesticides on buds and had no hook ups on sage meds. After watching cancan grow i descided to relive my glory years and have not looked back.
I look forward to reading more here and am greatful my $1 will go to good use.

Good idea. I would like to donate a little myself. How to do that?
I’ve been at it since the early 70’s but had no idea what I was doing until about 11 years ago. Since then I’ve grown several varieties, wish I had kept the Blue Dream going (sigh) But I’m doing well with Humboldt Sour Diesel and Durban Poison. Trying some Everyday Haze this year and one last attempt at an auto (Sour Apple Auto).

Thank you @Heliosphear , that’s so awesome of you…
32 YO Asian here, not yet legal in my place yet so I’m hesitant to share my country name in public (though many of you know where I’m from).

Here’s my grow diary

About OG, this place is like the Oasis of the internet. No drama, no toxicity just all around fun and support…
I didn’t know a simple ABC about growing when I first joined this site, good people here supported me with seeds, guided me on how to grow, taught me what to expect.

Never before i had thought I’ll love growing this much. Seeing the plants smile back at me everyday got me hooked for ever…
My current grow consists of 2 Gambian autos, 2 BlueBerry FogDog autos, 3 Widow Maker autos and 1 Sour Bubble…

Heres my post to help out!

Grow journal

I started growing Marijuana for my father who has lymphoma. We’ve been able to bond, he been teaching me what he knows, he lights up when I show him the plants are getting bigger. I wish I was able to do this sooner with him but I will charish it now. I myself have quickly become addicted to growing. I know if I had the space I’d have sooo many plants going. The overgrow community has been so helpful in making this happen :green_heart:

Very generous of you! I am 38 years old and reside in BC Canada, been growing indoor since legalization day but have attempted a few gorilla grows when I was younger. My good buddy invited me here to OG and I gotta say it is a really great platform and a bunch of great people here and definitely have an obsession with growing my owe.

Great idea @Heliosphear. Extremely generous of you and a reminder to support your favorite forum…Overgrow of course.
I’m nearing 50 and have been growing over 30 years now, since 1991. For the first 25 years I grew mostly my own strain and my Uncles Afghan seed that was gifted to me in 98, but dates back to 75. My grows with my own strain were almost always done guerrilla style in the Catskill Mts of NY, while the Afghans were grown in containers. I also grew indoors during winter on occasion, but not more than half a dozen times until recently.
My passion is growing Landraces/ heirlooms and preserving them. In particular, the Long Flowers. I Can’t get enough of them. Since joining OG I’ve been introduced to numerous other passionate growers and preservationists and I’ve made some great friendships I never would have made anywhere else. @Guitarzan, Myself and a great group of guys formed The Freakers Collective early last year, dedicated to preserving landraces, heirlooms and older landrace hybrids. We have added our first female member this year and we’re all excited about that😁. Be on the lookout for Freaker’s Overflow threads where you can get some sweet old genetics!
I’m currently working on a Peshawar Afghan preservation run that I’ve started for the coop( thread coming) and I can always be found in the landrace threads.
Overgrow is an awesome place to meet great people!
@DEMIJJ welcome to OG!

Nice idea.

Mid 30s. Been a bit obsessed with the idea of growing since the old OG but wasn’t in a position to grow indoors until legalization in Canada. Bounced around figuring out life, overactive landlords, lack of funds, etc.

These days growing is a hobby that supports my mental health which is not great at times, and smoking mixes nicely with hiking another passion of mine.

I usually try a different technique in each run, for better or worse. Interested in Canadian breeders like PeakSeedsBC, Beanhoarder, JOTI, etc. Lately I’ve been trying to focus more on growing OG gear and some half assed chucking.

I’ve been a supporter of OG on Patreon for a few years. It’s kind of rare to find a place like this online these days, with passionate people who care about community and strong efforts to keep the toxicity of the internet at bay.
