Welcome @HeartOfDankness , seems like you need to give your wife a massage more often.
Maybe give her Bill Mollison’s permaculture manual and she’ll wanna start growing herself!
Good to have you here!
I started growing when I lived alone in a house where the landlord came for a check up every single month. Luckily they didn’t check the upstairs, I grew in my closet first and then eventually got a tent. Somehow got away with it.
Nevertheless, I totally understand the wife, I had some nerve wrenching moments too.
Hi All, happy to rediscover Overgrow after being away for many years.
My story: I started growing in Toronto, Canada in ‘98 after discovering seeds from holland that had mysteriously burrowed their way into an orange oreo bar and curiously ended up in my mailbox. These were original white widow, northern lights #5 and skunk #1. The plants thrived under a tiny 250watt hps and I was hooked on growing my own stone. I joined overgrow back then (under the same handle due to the size of my grow) and I loved the community, meeting people online and in person. After a number of years I stopped growing but always thought about it and then legalization happened. Since then I’ve been happily growing my four plants organically, along with other delicious vegetables, in the back garden. Things keep getting better every season, this year was particularly bountiful and I can’t wait til next year. Look forward meeting and sharing knowledge with y’all.
Thank you! I grew hydroponically with chemicals when I started out. TBH I would never go back mostly due to how forgiving it is to grow organically. This year I started adding compost tea and added molasses towards the end and the plants really responded well to this.
since i’ve been trolling the site for while and just started a thread in the breeder’s lab i thought i should post a little background info and say hello to everyone.

i’ve been growing intensely and continuously for 26 years.
i am 72 years of age. i began my relationship with cannabis in 1965 in the haight-ashbury district of san fransisco.

i am a designer and builder of grow rooms, big and small.
my last job was a 10k sq ft warehouse for growing hemp cbd flower in nashville.

i am looking forward to my experience here on the new Overgrow.
Hey Maddawg, thank you so much for the warm welcome and for pointing me in the right direction with those threads on organic growing! This community is fantastic and looking forward to giving back what I can!
Hey @Tardis808 I replied to one of your posts elsewhere, but wanted to come here and “introduce” myself to you, because I’m also an AZ resident, in the Valley area. There are actually a good number of us desert dwellers here! Great to have you aboard
